Introducing the RedBar X Frederique Constant Highlife Collection

Our friends at RedBar recently celebrated their annual get together (digitally, of course), and during the proceedings took the opportunity to introduce their latest collaboration with Frederique Constant. Two limited edition watches were announced, each based on the new releases from Frederique Constant’s Highlife collection, which we first showed you here. The watches were designed by the RedBar group and bring their signature accents to the dial and caseback.

The RedBar watches immediately stand apart from the regular production Highlife watches thanks to their deep grey dials with dramatic red details. The Highlife Automatic COSC receives a red seconds hand and red Arabic numerals around the chapter ring at the cardinal hours to mark the seconds. Additionally, the Chronometer text at 6 o’clock is applied in red lettering. Around back, the RedBar logo is applied to the exhibition caseback, allowing a view of the FC-303 caliber within. The Automatic COSC will be limited to 100 individually numbered examples, and priced at $1,995.

The Highlife Perpetual Calendar also receives a grey dial and red numerals at the outset of the dial, but adds a new moon phase disc that sets a red moon and stars against a rich blue backdrop. These details bring an entirely new, and welcome personality shift to the watch, and if you’re familiar with previous LE watches from RedBar, you’ll see a theme at work. The case retains its impressive 41x12mm dimensions and in-house perpetual calendar movement, and best of all, its $9,295 price tag. Just 10 examples will be made of the Highlife Perpetual Calendar RedBar watch, so don’t hesitate to jump on this one if you’re at all interested.

Each of the watches will come housed in a leather collectors case, along with a grey leather strap in addition to the integrated bracelet, which features quick release tabs for easy changes on the go.
