Oak & Oscar Presents “Independent Together,” a Virtual Summit for Independent Watch Brands

For watch fans who are eager to experience that sense of community that is one of the great things about this hobby, and simultaneously extremely difficult to come by in these times of extreme social distancing, Oak & Oscar has announced an exciting new project.

Oak & Oscar founder Chase Fancher has been hosting virtual meetups since the pandemic took hold, and this effort, which he’s dubbed “Independent Together,” is a logical next step. This is a virtual brand summit that will feature many of our favorite independent watch brands taking part in a panel discussion over Zoom, with live questions from the audience to follow. It looks like a great time, and it features a great group of watch brands.

Independent Together will take place virtually on Friday June 5 at 1:00 PM central time. If you’re interested in attending, you can RSVP and find more information about the event right here.

Zach is a native of New Hampshire, and he has been interested in watches since the age of 13, when he walked into Macy’s and bought a gaudy, quartz, two-tone Citizen chronograph with his hard earned Bar Mitzvah money. It was lost in a move years ago, but he continues to hunt for a similar piece on eBay. Zach loves a wide variety of watches, but leans toward classic designs and proportions that have stood the test of time. He is currently obsessed with Grand Seiko.
