The Virtual Windup Watch Fair is Live!

We’re officially kicking off the 2020 Virtual Windup Watch Fair today. From today through November 25th, Worn & Wound will exclusively feature Virtual Fair content, including daily video interviews, product announcements, podcasts, and more. Several participating brands are releasing new products that you’ll see first here on Worn & Wound.

As always, the Windup Watch Fair wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, without who’s support Windup just wouldn’t be the same. Oris is returning as our Lead Sponsor, fresh off the announcement of their new Caliber 400 movement and Aquis featuring the new movement.  We sat down with Rolf Studer, Oris Co-CEO, to discuss this milestone as well as a few other developments from the brand.

We’re also pleased to have additional sponsorship from Bespoke Watch Projects, Brew Watch Co., Christopher Ward, Hamilton, Seiko, and Zodiac. We’re pleased to share that we have video interviews with each of these brands where we take a look at their latest products and what they have in store for the future. You don’t want to miss it.

The Virtual Windup Watch Fair will begin with a video interview with Eric Hofmann, Business Development at Seiko Corporation of America. 2020 marks the 55th anniversary of the release of Seiko’s iconic 6217-8001, aka the 62MAS. We chat with Eric about a slew of new divers released in 2020 to celebrate Seiko’s diving heritage. We’ll be publishing this interview today at 11am EDT, so stay tuned for that.

We’re also excited to be running several special promotions throughout the Fair. First and foremost, we’re hosting our first-ever Windup Watch Fair Giveaway. We’ve got over 20 prizes up for grabs from a number of the brands participating in the Virtual Windup Watch Fair, including Christopher Ward, Lorier, Zodiac, Brew, Stowa, and Yema, among many others. You can enter the giveaway today over on the Virtual Windup Watch Fair website. There you’ll also find a full rundown of prizes and rules.

Second, from now through the 25th, all purchases from the Windup Watch Shop will be eligible for double points through our loyalty program. Instead of earning 5 points for every $1 you spend, you’ll earn 10 points. So, if you purchase one of our Model 2 Premium straps for $95, you’ll get 950 points instead of 475. Purchase a Hamilton Khaki Field and you’ll receive 4,950 points instead of 2,475. That’s a pretty great deal – just 5,000 points get you $50 off your next order. You can access double points today over at the Windup Watch Shop

We put together an episode of the Worn & Wound Podcast to discuss how the Virtual Windup Watch Fair came to be and what you can expect in the coming 12 days. You can check that out where ever you get your podcasts or via the player below.
