[Video] A Sunday in Geneva with Worn & Wound

When the Worn & Wound team was in Switzerland last month for Watches & Wonders, we had the opportunity to meet with a handful of brands outside of the show itself, and take a little bit of time to explore the horological landscape of Geneva. It’s a genuinely watch obsessed city, and it seemed like there was something interesting related to watches around every street corner.

In this video, we document some of the highlights of our time spent in Geneva’s Old Town with F.P. Journe and Urwerk. You’ll also see our visits to some small watch shows happening in parallel with Watches & Wonders, including the AHCI Grand Exhibition of Watch and Clockmakers, and the first ever Barton 7 show, where we had the opportunity to go hands on with watches from Singer Reimagined, Ikepod, and others.

It’s hard to imagine a place more focused on watches than Geneva during Watches & Wonders week, and just walking around the city, you really get a sense of how nearly everything in town revolves around watches in some way, at least for a brief period of time. For watch fans, it’s a special place to be.

Zach is a native of New Hampshire, and he has been interested in watches since the age of 13, when he walked into Macy’s and bought a gaudy, quartz, two-tone Citizen chronograph with his hard earned Bar Mitzvah money. It was lost in a move years ago, but he continues to hunt for a similar piece on eBay. Zach loves a wide variety of watches, but leans toward classic designs and proportions that have stood the test of time. He is currently obsessed with Grand Seiko.
