Watch Mods: Dagaz Watch Ltd.

A few weeks ago we posted our first watch mod update with a really nice example of a home modded Seiko SNK.  For those of you not quite brave enough to put your own watch under the knife, there are many options to buy a pre-modded piece or have one of your own watches altered by a professional.  Dagaz Watch Ltd. is one such custom watch, parts and tools seller that makes some really beautiful pieces.

So whether you’re in the market for a pressure tester, a new sapphire crystal, custom hands or fully assembled custom watch, Dagaz has you covered.  Most importantly, their watches are really affordable.  One great example of their work is this Seiko SKX007 200m diver.  Maintaining the base Seiko automatic movement and hardlex crystal, Dagaz has added one of their custom all black dials, vintage style hands with lume, silver chapter ring and all black external bezel with lume dot at the 12 position.  The result is clean, tactical and really well conceived.  This custom 007 can be yours for $265, no assembly required.

To show their versatility, here’s another example of a Dagaz modded 007 that goes in a completely different direction.  This time around, they’ve added a military style dial with white 12 and 24 hour numerals and green luminescent triangular indicators and a 12 hour external bezel insert.  It comes with two ZULU style nylon straps and comes in at $265.  Again, this mod is very well conceived, and with just a few subtle changes of the dial and external bezel, results in a completely different look.

Lastly, I wanted to point out an example of a watch mod utilizing some of the mod components available through the Dagaz store.  Follow this link to a Seiko and Citizen watch forum and check out the first image for a stunning example of a Seiko SNK809.  You can also scroll down to see a pretty nice collection of watch mods from forum readers.

Before we close out this watch mod post, we wanted to present some photos submitted by worn&wound reader Adi of his modded Seiko SNK809.  Adi sent his SNK to Yobokies, and as you can see had the dial and hands replaced, and had a domed sapphire crystal installed.  The result is really outstanding.  Thanks to Adi for the pictures, and if you have a watch mod you’d like posted in the future, shoot an email with description and pictures to [email protected].
