The handset, a beautiful reminder of a rotor’s silhouette adjoined to a sleek triangle, aligns precisely with the dial’s 12 o’clock position and completes the circle created between the hour and die-cut dial. An innovative twist on the classic day/date complication transforms the usual mundane discs into radiant gradients of color, thereby creating unique colorizations peeking through the dial as each day passes (217 combinations to be precise).
The Layer Two line extends to five distinct models, each showcasing a unique marriage of case finishes – matte DLC, brushed, bead-blasted and polished. Each finish perfectly complements its corresponding dial and handset color duo to give the appropriate level of fun(k). The watch is secured with a quick-release bracelet identical in finish, and is accompanied by a handcrafted leather strap made by our friends over at Veblenist.
Tiny but thoughtful elements add to the allure – the brand’s distinctive icon etched onto each crown, the absence of a logo on the dial, replaced instead by a custom colored laser-cut rotor on the superior Swiss Sellita SW-220-1.
