Now even more tied to its history, the integrated chronograph available in three unique designs, Silver, Dark Green Bronze, and Regatta. Each piece brings its own unique design choices, the Chrono Silver features bold red accents on the chronograph hands and date window. The Dark Green Bronze carries forward Sternglas’ popular design from the Hamburg Dark Blue Bronze. The watch feature PVD bronze in homage to Hamburg’s famous warehouse district as well. The Regatta edition features more primary colors against a clean dial. The Regatta edition date window features a fun surprise, as colorful signal flags will appear every other day. These new Chronographs feature stop and start functionality easily found on pushers at the 2 and 4 o’clock positions. The upper pusher handles starting and stopping with the lower pusher to reset the indicator back to 12 o’clock, recreating the effect of the mechanical chronograph. The left sub-dial counts minutes elasped while the right sub-dial tracks a 24 hour position within the day.
With a Seiko VK64 Mecha-Quartz movement, timekeeping is precise and smooth down to the sweeping second hand and allows for improved visibility in an enlarged date window. This movement combines quartz timing precision and that satisfying snap when activating the chronograph, along with the second-hand sweep we enthusiasts so enjoy. The cases are 42 mm in diameter and, due to the movement choice, only 9.3 mm thin excluding the double-domed sapphire crystal.
A stainless steel 316L case and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal forms a resilient shell around these pieces.
