Traska, a passion project Jon Mack initiated, launched their Freediver on Kickstarter using an all-or-nothing funding approach. The campaign was fully funded within hours, raising more than double the initial target. Officially launched on April 17, 2018, the company quickly gained momentum with their second model, the Summiteer, which raised over $100,000 in just 12 hours. Six years later, the watch community still plays a vital role in Traska’s success, and the brand places great importance on connecting with its supporters. Each journey involves a series of small decisions. They understand this concept deeply. With every new collection launch, they evaluate their direction, assess the situation, and make necessary adjustments—some subtle and some significant—before moving forward.
Terms like “much anticipated” and “long-awaited” are frequently used in the watch industry, but few apply as well as they do to Traska’s latest collection upgrade. The Venturer, their GMT model designed for travelers, underwent more than eight months of development before returning in September. The other models are set to follow soon, refreshed, refined, and better than ever. Traska is back with a refreshed collection featuring beloved models in new colors and improved fit with tighter tolerances.
The Freediver
Traska’s first model is a fully equipped dive watch with a 200-meter water resistance. It features a screw-down crown and a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel with a luminescent ceramic insert. The all-new Freediver (Ref. 1186) includes a re-engineered bezel that utilizes ceramic ball bearings for an exceptional tactile experience. Additionally, it has tighter end link tolerances and refined indices with chamfered edges.
