Readers of worn&wound will know we’ve been busy on the site for the past several months. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out some of our recent reviews and articles. We’ve also been busy behind the scenes getting some great new products together, which we’re excited to announce today – all proudly made in NYC. Fall is here, and we have several new releases that will fit right in with the changing season.
First up is the Model 1 – Olive, an update to our popular strap line. The Model 1 is a modern, minimal strap, featuring one line of stitching per side, straight cut, finished edges and a single large keeper. The rich, oiled Chamois Horween leather used with the Model 1 – Olive has a deep, mottled earthy green tone. We emphasized this by using a Russet keeper, brown edges and stitching, building off of the natural hues while creating a palette that will compliment your fall attire. This strap will age beautifully, gaining a rugged patina.

Next, we are very excited to offer two new colors of our Model 2 straps, Olive and Chestnut. The Model 2 was designed to be a simple, stylish go-to strap for all seasons. It’s a 2-piece design made out of unlined Horween leather, cut with a slight taper. The edges are raw, letting them gain a nice patina, and the knots are hand-tied out of thick waxed linen thread for a crafty, hand-made finish. We used both a fixed metal loop as well as a wide leather band for keepers, creating a rugged detail that hints at military straps.
For our Olive Model 2, we’ve used the same oiled Chamois Horween leather used with the Model 1 – Olive. Meanwhile, the vegetable tanned Horween Essex leather chosen for the Model 2 – Chestnut has a bright, and beautiful golden, tan color, that will darken with age. This color pairs perfectly with the blues, greens and grays of autumn. We accented the Chestnut with charcoal linen thread for a bit of contrast.

We are also happy to say that all of our Model 2 straps are now available in 18mm (in addition to 20mm and 22mm as they were before). This size has been requested A LOT since we released the Model 2, so we are very excited for this much needed update.
Last but certainly not least, we are adding a new NYC NATO to our line in the very popular color first seen with our Model 2s, Russet. The NYC NATO was our first product release, and its been a staple of our catalog ever since. NYC NATOs are a modern take on a classic style. The rugged yet casual NYC NATO design is updated with high-quality American leathers and a refined sense of style.
The matte, oiled Stampede Chromexcel leather chosen for the NYC NATO Horween – Russet has a deep, earthy brown color that will darken and patina beautifully with wear. We accented the Russet with charcoal thread for a dark, faded palette that looks especially good against titanium or a watch with some wear.
