The Tangente Update
If you need a little more structure in the dial of your watch the Tangente also receives the DUW 6101 with the date display getting bright green accents against the dark navy dial. Rather than dots, Nomos is using their slender typeface to mark the even Arabic numerals with bars filling in the odd spaces.
Each watch gets the neomatik date caliber DUW 6101 which features a quick-set mechanism allowing the date to be set, well, quickly, either forward or backward. At just 3.6mm in thickness the cases of the Tangente and Metro are well under 10mm in total depth, measuring 7.8mm and 9.1mm respectively, and 41mm in diameter.
The DUW 6101 is an automatic movement and the whole show is visible through an exhibition caseback. You’ll find simple but effective finishing applied to the plates accentuated by blued screws and red jewels. It’s a lovely view, especially considering the sub $5,000 price point of each watch. The Metro neomatik 41 Update is priced at $4,660 while the Tangente neomatik Update can be had for $4,100. Nomos.
