Vintage Omega Seamaster

Going to start off this week with a nice vintage Omega Seamaster with the classic ‘fat lugs’ case. The seller states the case is 38mm, but that must include the original clover leaf Omega signed crown, making the case about 35mm, which sounds right. The whole watch exhibits some wabi sabi, but this survivor looks original and genuine to me. There is some patina on the two-tone bullseye dial and the steel dauphine hands, but if you’re a fan of that look this might just be for you. So often Seamasters like this are polished and redialed, which is such a shame. This one has a caliber 354 bumper automatic that looks clean and the seller states it runs. Really a nice, genuine and unmolested example of the classic 1950’s Seamaster.

Swatch “Lancelot”

Vintage Swatches must be making a comeback because I keep seeing them for sale! What a fantastic piece of 1980’s nostalgia they are. This model is the Lancelot from 1986, and it’s in great original condition. Complete with the original band and box. Seller states it has a new battery and runs well. If you’re a Gen X’er like me, these bring back so many memories! Neon clothes, spiky hair, pegged acid wash jeans and Swatch watches….let’s go! Stranger Things and Hot Tub Time Machine in the flesh!

Vintage 1968 Military Field Watch

Here is a nice vintage unbranded military field watch from 1968. It looks much like the Benrus and Hamilton versions I’ve seen, but there is no brand name. It has the nice black dial with big, easy to read Arabic numerals and bright lume filled hands. The bead-blasted case is in good shape, and doesn’t appear to have been polished. The caseback bears all the correct military engravings, this looks to have been issued I think. It definitely has wear consistent with an issued military watch. Give it a little scrub and a new strap and you’re in business.

Seiko 5 “Actus” 7019A

This vintage Seiko 5 Actus watch is simple, but with style. And it’s in fantastic condition. The 38mm wide steel case is super clean and looks unpolished. Classic Seiko silver dial with applied steel stick markers and the ubiquitous day/date window at 3 o’clock. The watch comes on the correct and original steel bracelet with the 5 Actus signed buckle that has a little extension piece. Really nice piece that would look good in any situation. Seller states it has been serviced and runs well. Can’t beat these vintage Seikos for bang-for-your-buck.

Bulova Linen Dial

Next up is this great little Bulova from 1966. The time only dial has a linen texture and a sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock to give it that classic look. Nice simple steel case that looks unpolished, with nice sharp edges measures 32mm wide. Even the caseback is clean, with both brushed and polished finishes. The watch comes on a vintage Bulova signed leather strap which is really cool. The seller states the watch is running a little fast, so keep that in mind if you decide to bid.

Omega Constellation De Luxe

Ending this week with some epic bling with this vintage solid 18k gold Omega Constellation De Luxe. Omega Constellations are amazing watches in general, but this beauty really stands out. The 35mm case is solid 18k yellow gold and in superb condition, with the observatory medallion on the back showing great detail. The pie-pan dial is stupendous. It is also 18k gold, with applied gold broad arrow markers, a Constellation classic design taken to the next level. The seller states they think the dial has been redone, but from the pictures it looks correct to me. It has the correct 10-sided Omega crown, and even the acrylic crystal is signed with the Omega logo on the underside. The Chronometer grade caliber 504 movement is clean and shiny, and the seller states it runs well. These are quite scarce to find, so if this is something you’ve been after, take a close look and judge for yourself if it’s the one for you.
