Introducing the Ball Fireman NightBreaker, Customizable and Now Available at a Special Pre-Order Price

Over the past year, BALL has seen success launching new watches via pre-order, having unveiled four timepieces at special reduced prices for customers getting in on the action early. We covered all four previous releases: the Roadmaster GMT, Engineer III King, Engineer Master II Voyager and the Engineer III Bronze/Silver Star. Now, joining that group is the BALL Fireman NightBreaker.

Like most watches in BALL’s extensive catalog, the Fireman NightBreaker has some solid specs behind it. The case is 40mm in diameter with a height of 11.3mm. It sports a sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and a water-resistance rating of 100 meters. Additional features include anti-magnetism (resistant to 4,800A/m) and the brand’s patented Amortiser anti-shock system (a lock for the rotor that prevents the weight from damaging the movement in the event of a sudden shock). The movement powering the Fireman NightBreaker is the BALL RR1103, which has as its base an ETA 2824-2. Like I said, the Fireman NightBreaker offers solid specs for a watch that could easily be a daily driver.

There are a number of different options for customizing the Fireman NightBreaker. Shown here are the two dial designs.

Where BALL puts a spin on the Fireman NightBreaker is with the different options available for customizing the watch, which is something they’ve done in the past, but certainly not to this extent. There is not simply an option A or an option B, but rather multiple combinations that can be made to better fit an individual’s taste.

For starters, there are two dial designs: one with large Arabic numerals at four, eight and 12, and one without. Both of these dials feature BALL’s signature tritium tubes, which are the tallest they’ve ever been at 1.5mm in height here. They’re of varying lengths to accommodate the large numbers on the first design, and equal lengths for the second (except for a shorter tube at three, where there is a date window and magnifier). Both dial choices look great with the numeric version perhaps looking a bit sportier.

Then there are three dial colors to choose from: blue, silver, and black. This already gives you six distinct dial options, but there’s more. Customers can also choose from three different tritium tube colors—yellow, white, and green—for a total of 18 different dial variations!

Buyers can opt for a stainless steel bracelet or they can knock a few bucks off by going with a leather strap in black or brown or a rubber strap (go for the bracelet—it’s always better to have). For an additional cost, BALL is offering Jacquard NATO straps in green, blue and red—all made in France. Lastly, buyers can add an engraving to the back of the watch at no additional cost during this pre-order period.

The pre-order for the BALL Fireman NightBreaker is currently open and concludes July 12, 2017. The pre-order price is a very reasonable $749. Pre-orders will start shipping in October 2017. For those who miss out, the watch will be available at full retail in November of 2017. Visit BALL to get yours.
