If you’ve ever attended a Windup Watch Fair or spent much time on pretty much any watch enthusiast blog, there’s a pretty decent chance you know who Jonathan Ferrer is. Not only is he the founder of and designer behind Brew Watch Co., he’s also a great friend of Worn & Wound. We were delighted to meet him at his office just a couple weeks ago to get up close and person with him and his new Metric Star Chronograph, a watch full of both nostalgia and charm.
With several models to choose from, Brew’s Metric lineup has something for everyone. Not only is its 36mm wide case well-suited for pretty much anyone’s wrist, but there’s a colorway or finish for vast array of tastes and styles. The Metric Star Chronograph continues this tradition and doesn’t disappoint. Jonathan developed this particular version to be the Metric that could easily be dressed up with a suit or dressed down with a t-shirt. Its eye-catching golden sunburst dial is complemented by blue and red detail harkening back to an era where watches at all price points were statement pieces.
We also had the chance to sit with Jonathan in a new showroom adjacent to his office—where he can invite guest and host intimate events—to ask four burning questions. We get into his process, the Brew brand, and the vision behind the new Metric Star Chronograph. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!
