The SF Windup Watch Fair is closer than ever! If you’ve been following along, you know Windup is growing fast. This year, we are returning to the same venue in San Francisco and doubling the floorplan, meaning more watches, more live events, more accessories, and a whole lot more in general. There will be hundreds of watches, watch accessories, and EDC items on display to try on and purchase. You don’t want to miss it. As a reminder, here are the key event details:

Accutron
Accutron has built a name in innovation and exploration. Offering the world’s first fully electronic watch in 1960, Accutron changed the way the world told time. In 1962, Bulova produced the Accutron Astronaut, a 214-based GMT timepiece with a 24-hour rotating bezel, secondary 24-hour hand and hack function. Originally made for high altitude CIA spy plane missions in conjunction with emerging NASA rocket technologies, it also found commercial success.
Accutron is proud to bring back the 1968 “T” version of the Astronaut model, featuring a distinctive DAY/NIGHT bezel as the brand’s re-edition in an exciting new series of Accutron Astronaut timepieces. The new Astronaut is Swiss Made, available in a 41mm stainless steel case with a matching bracelet, including sapphire crystal, Super-LumiNova, and a partial exhibition case back powered by an SW330 GMT movement. Beyond the Astronaut T, you can also try on the Accutron DNA using their proprietary electrostatic energy movement. Finally, only at Windup SF, you’ll be able to walk away with a bonus colored strap with the purchase of an Accutron Legacy model.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward is considered the pioneer of the affordable, independent, direct-to-consumer watch brand. Highly regarded for their value-driven, Swiss-made watches, Christopher Ward is now a horological force to be reckoned with. With their own in-house calibers, complications, first-in-class cases, and seemingly unstoppable creativity, Christopher Ward has shown the traditional world of watchmaking that there is room for new ideas, ushering in a whole generation of brands.
The extraordinary C1 Bel Canto isn’t just a feast for the eyes, but the ears, too. Powered by Christopher Ward’s new FS01 movement, every 60 minutes a ‘hammer’ strikes a chime to mark the hour (what the Swiss call a ‘Sonnerie au Passage’ complication). The Grade-5 titanium case improves the resonance and tone of the chime, and also ensures lightness and durability, while the intricately polished and stacked dial plays host to a time-telling sub-dial. Fortis
Fortis is well known as one of the go-to watch brands for pilots. With a history of timepieces with their own life and character, Fortis continues to delight with independence, passion, and curiosity instilled into every one of their crafts.Their new Flieger Collection consists of amazing designs and functionalities, as seen in the F-43 Petrol Bicompax below.
Together with Professional Pilots, the Flieger series includes unique features like the Synchroline®, the Brixtrack® and a 12h Bezel to bring Ultimate Readability and Two Time Zones onto your wrist. At this year’s Windup, they’ll be showcasing the Flieger F-41 Black, the Flieger F-39 Liberty Blue, the Flieger F-43 Petrol Bicompax among the other technical feats in the product line.
Oris
The rich history of Oris dates back to 1904, when Paul Cattin and Georges Christian founded the brand in Hölstein, Switzerland, where it is still based. Over the past century, Oris has attained many great achievements, including being one of the 10 largest watch brands in the world in the 1960’s. After the quartz crisis took its toll on the Swiss watch industry, Oris reemerged as an independent brand, a status it still maintains to this day, with a focus solely on mechanical timepieces, bucking the trends of the day.
And now, in a special collaboration with Disney’s The Muppets, we have The ProPilot X Kermit Edition. Building on the 39mm titanium ProPilot X Calibre 400, one special feature shows Kermit’s friendly smile in the date window on the first of the month. Zodiac
Since 1882, Zodiac Watches has been a truly innovative force in the world of watchmaking. Founded by Ariste Calame in Le Locle, Switzerland, Zodiac was a pioneer in the worlds of automatic watches, “mystery” watches, electronic and even quartz watches. Now, under the wing of Fossil, Zodiac has been working hard to bring this rich history to the surface by recreating their iconic timepieces to new standards. Affordable, luxurious timepieces, Zodiac watches perfectly straddle the line between vintage style and modern functionality.
Zodiac will have a number of their vintage-inspired dive watches on hand at the Windup Watch Fair, including both the Super Sea Wolf Automatic Blue Rubber Watch and Super Sea Wolf 53 Skin Automatic Stainless Steel along with the Limited Edition Super Sea Wolf World Time Automatic Stainless Steel pictured above.
