Christopher Ward is a brand I have, to my shame, only recently become aware. The C60 is another in a line of amazing-looking watches- it’s beauty emphasised by the NATO strap. Please be mine!!

I’ve been following the blog for a while and the review yesterday really caught my attention– forced me to look at possibly selling my old Hamilton Khaki Navy auto (listed it on WUS yesterday) and Citizen perpetual calendar/AT world time to try and raise funds to acquire the glorious C60… it really seems to have everything I’ve been looking for. This has got to be my lucky day.
I have been on the lookout for a diver and have finally narrowed it down to two, the Christopher Ward C60 Trident being one of them. So, like any good WIS, I came to your site earlier this week to try and find a review on it. However, at that time you didn’t have a review for this watch, so I tried to do some other research on my own. I came back today specifically with the purpose to mail you, asking whether by chance you might still have an opinion on this watch, but have not done a formal review of one for whatever reason. Yet, lo and behold, not only did you just put up a review for this watch, you have one to giveaway!

I’m a big fan of Chris Ward! I bought the C9 Harrison Mark II Jumping Hour and I’m completely in love with it. It makes for a beautiful dress watch and this C60 Trident would compliment me as my casual/sports watch.

The C60 is a great watch. I received a black one on a stainless band as a birthday present, and I wear it everyday.
I have been eyeing Christopher Ward for quite awhile now (specifically their C7 Rapide), but this would be a great way to start the collection. With that bezel, just different enough to not be aping the classics.
I love the contrast with the khaki bezel and black dial. I have had my eye on the Trident for a long time.

Nice review of an interesting watch. I’m intrigued by Christopher Ward’s offerings, but find the hands sets (particularly trident on the seconds hand) “odd”. Would love to see one in the steel to see what all the fuss is about.

Beautiful watch by Christopher Ward. I remember seeing this watch on the W&W instagram a couple of days ago with the different nato. Looks nice with either.
I had previously thought the c9 auto was my favorite Christopher Ward watch but I’m not sure, now. This watch has some great details like the trident second hand and the waves on the dial. I like everything except the shape of the hour hand, but it’s not a deal-breaker for me. Hate NATO straps, though. I think they only look appropriate on Timex watches. Anything that costs over $100 should have be secured to the wrist with leather or metal. After all, it’s a watch, not a friendship bracelet.

Great review, by the way (I love this site)! I get the obvious references to Rolex as inspiration for the C60, but I’m always surprised that it is never compared to the Omega Seamaster Pro. I feel it is a very well balanced (and uniquely different) homage to the Seamaster.

I think Christopher Ward has done a good job with this watch, giving it just enough subtle nuance to make it stand out. While not the most original design, they’ve paid enough attention to detail to give it some personality.

For the record, and frankly it needs to be stated, W&W is a much better (IMO) watch-fanatic website for the common-man. Reviews are much more informative & detailed and the watches reviewed are all much more accessible price-wise yet you still pick absolute gems to inform us about that we otherwise would never know about.

Ok, normally i don’t enter these giveaways, as i prefer to see other people win things. But i actually purchased a CW C60 for my wife who wanted one (she prefers men’s watches to men’s), and have been jealous every time i see it on her. Earlier picked up an orange bezel GMT Trident off another forum from Jeepdad but shifted it on after a year of little wear, orange turned out to be too loud for me….
The olive is muted by comparison but still has character, kind of a cross between the root beer and LV, ya think?

I’ve followed Christopher Ward from the early days of his watchmaking journey, and always thought—from the standpoint of price, value, and aesthetics—that a Ward watch, specifically a Trident, would be the perfect watch for me. Three things I think makes this watch astonishing. the texture on the dial, design of the secondhand with red marking and the greenish colour of the bezel! Truly gorgeous!
