Vintage Bulova Accutron

Here we have a beautiful Accutron with a cool, space-age design. As if the now classic caliber 218 tuning fork movement isn’t futuro enough, the dial and handset on this one take it to the next level. The champagne dial has a radial brushed finish and thin yet bold radial lines for hour markers. The unpolished steel case is simple and round, but with a nice beveled bezel and sharp chamfers on the angled lugs. The bold red hour and minute hands along with the black second hand complete the space-age look. Signed crown at 4 o’clock…as it should be. Seller states the watch runs and keeps time. Vintage Accutrons don’t get much better than this!

Eagle Star Diver

Here’s a vintage diver I haven’t seen before. I have a couple of vintage Eagle Star Squale divers from the 1960’s, but it looks like Eagle Star kept going into at least the 1980’s! This diver has a great look, and is in fantastic condition. The steel case has the classic Submariner style with the crown guards, and looks to be sharp and unpolished. The black dial has large lume Arabic numerals and a simple date window at 3 o’clock. The hands are black and white with lume plots and the second hand has a cool rectangular lume filled lollipop tip. The watch is powered by a quartz movement, good for simple grab-and-go wear. As an added bonus, the watch comes with its original marble box!

Vintage Croton CASD

Next up we have a real gem, the ever classic Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver. Man, I love this name, it covers all the bases! Name aside, the Chronomaster is a fantastic and much sought after chrono-diver that come in a plethora of iterations. This example has a great black dial with two white subdials for a reverse panda look. The minute subdial has a cool red section for the first five minutes of elapsed time, and there is a nice white tachymetre outer ring on the dial .The hour and minute hands are large steel stick hands with large lume plots that have a perfect latte patina. The elapsed time divers bezel instert is in superb condition which is nice as these usually show more wear. The large steel case looks unpolished an is in great shape, except I do spy some wear to the lugs, but nothing atrocious. The manual wind Landeron movement looks clean and seller states the watch is currently working as it should. Great, classic chrono-diver.

Wittnauer Geneve

From the overly complex chrono-diver name to a simple dress watch name, next up is this vintage Wittnauer Geneve. Nice classic 34mm round steel case with simple straight lugs, unpolished and in clean condition. The silver dial is excellent and has cool applied steel hour markers. Slim arrows for most of them and really cool stylized Art Deco Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9 with a date window at 3 o’clock. The acrylic crystal is nice and clear, and has a date magnifier window. Big steel dauphine hands make it easy to read the time. This little gem even has the original crown signed with the Wittnauer “W” logo. No movement picture, but the seller states the automatic movement currently runs and keeps time.

Wakmann Chronograph

Here’s a timeless classic for you vintage chronograph lovers. This vintage Wakmann looks to be from the 1940’s, and has a beautiful dial. The silver dial has two subdials and has lume Arabic numerals and lume filled black hands. The dial is super clean and looks original to these eyes, and is signed “France” on the bottom edge. The case is chrome plated, with a stainless steel back. The case is in great shape, with very little pitting or wearthrough, a rarity in these old timers (pun intended). The movement is a clean Venus caliber 188 manual wind, and per the seller it works as it should! Great vintage chronograph with timeless looks.

Omega ‘Meister’ Seamaster

Last up this week is a nice vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic with co-signed dial. The 36mm stainless steel c-shaped case is excellent and unpolished, showing sharp edges and the original brushed finish. It is the front loading type, and has the Omega Hippocampus engraved on the back. The silver/white dial has a crosshair printed on it, and besides the normal “Seamaster Cosmic” name, it also has “Meister” printed on it, which was the name of a watch store in Switzerland. This co-branding on the dial is somewhat rare, and is highly sought after by collectors. Other stores like Tiffany and Serpico y Laino for example have been known to add their names to watch dials. The watch is powered by a manual wind Omega caliber 601 movement that is clean and bright and runs well per the seller. The original crown is signed with the Omega symbol as it should. Really nice rare co-branded Omega that looks all original.
