  1. Great site! I am looking forward to more in 2013. Interesting watch and definitely something I wouldn’t have taken notice of if I had not seen it here.

  2. Design of the Orient Disk with striking white minute hand on the darker dial and hour disk, for me looks like a slight hint of the regulator watches, without being one. Maybe if Orient painted second hand in not white, but some darker color, that effect can be more prominent, but whatever, it is very nice, contemporary-looking watch.

  3. What a site, you will have noticed increased Aussie traffic. I have told all me mates to make worn and wound the first stop when looking for a new watch. I can’t wait for the new 24mm watch straps.

  4. Didn’t think I would take a serious look at Orient watches until I saw the Bambino, Masquerade, Orbit and now this… To be frank I would have wished for better-decorated movements to but the quirky dials and good value-for-money is keeping me on the look-out for the next ‘modern’ Orient!

  5. Very slick watch design and would love to be the owner. More importantly it’s because of the visibility that W&W gives us into the watch market that we love the site. Manufacturers are getting an amazing opportunity to reach the masses by simply providing samples for you guys to review – it’s a win/win situation all round.

  6. Great site, great watches. You know what, even if I don’t win any watches here, I can still get this from my own pocket, cause W&W featured watches are so affordable.

  7. W&W is the first site I check in morning! The reviews and features (as well as these giveaways) keep me coming back for more.

This watch would make a great addition to my Black Mako.

  8. W&W gets my vote as one of the best watch review sites out there because the timepieces showcased are not only interesting, but are (usually) ones I can actually afford! I’ve been a big fan of Orient for quite a while and already own several. The colors on this example aren’t really my style, but I would definitely give it another look if it had red or yellow highlights.

  9. Love this site. Very cool watch. For your reading pleasure:

Was Mr. Snuffleupagus Greek? He sure was hairy..

  10. Actually considered buying one of these, but decided I couldn’t drop the coin right now. Would love to bump up from my Weekender!!!

  11. I love Worn & Wound and get my daily dose of wristwatchery from you guys. I know it’s random, but my cakeday is on the 26th and this little guy would make me rather happy!

  12. I was just looking at the Disk on Orient’s site and was so happy to see a review on Worn and Wound. Great site and I would love to see this on my wrist

  13. I was thinking about buying this watch, but better if I can get it for free.

Thanks for a great page about watches!

  14. i have a Rolex submarine , and last year bought an Orient Ray , personally i prefer Orient , much more nice exterior , nice movement and glad to add to my collection

  15. I love seeing all of these unique comments; must mean the site is doing well

Thanks for hosting another great giveaway; Good luck to all you guys- may the best man win

  16. Great job as usual guys. Worn and Wound is my favorite watch site and the first place I go to when beginning the search for any new horological acquisitions for my collection.

  17. I want it. I really do. Not just any watch. THIS watch. Green suits me. It really does. Not just any green. THIS green. And I like hands. I really do. Not just any hands. THESE hands. Oh… er…. actually, there’s a couple of other hands I like too…

  18. It would make a great addition yet stand in total contrast to my Orient Bambino (whose purchase was purely inspired by this site – thanks!)

    *fingers crossed*

  19. Very good looking Watch. Reminds me of the Seiko Discus Burger which is extremely rare. So this is a great alternative.

  20. On the official orient webpage, they offer this watch with a green tinting on the back, but unfortunately it looks like they only offer the blue tint on their USA webpage. Still a pretty cool watch though!

  21. I bought two watches last year after reading your reviews. It would be great to win a free one. Keep on reviewing and I’ll keep on buying.

  22. Awesome looking watch, and what a great review you guys did! I’m fairly new to the website, but already I have seen some interesting watches on your site, Bambino for one! Thanks for the giveaway! Have a good one

  23. Excellent website. Love reading about watches I’ve never heard of and this Orient watch is certainly very unique and very cool.

  24. Seems to fit the bill for me as something casual, yet distinctive. I was surprised when somebody recommended it to somebody else. I’d love to have one of these, although I’m worried that it’d be too large for my wrist.

  25. It’s great to see Orient continuing to diversify their offerings to cater for a range of tastes. As usual, keep up the great work, W&W – this is fast becoming one of my favourite watch blogs.

  26. Rather like this , would like it more if the disk was a day night one since the hands are already doing the job of telling you the hour. Still it’s a nice effect .

    1. I’d wear one of these. It’s not a dress watch, but formal events are a rarity for most of us today and I think this watch would work fine with casual or business casual dress. It has a bauhaus or mid century modern look to it, minimalist without being oversimplified to the point of impairing functionality.

  27. Congrats on a great site. Find the reviews very useful for the “addiction” and would really love to get this one!

  28. What a great looking piece – one I’d love to add to my collection!

Thanks for the great opportunity to own it, guys πŸ™‚

  29. Wow! In my experience, Orient is the best value watch you can buy. The ones I have are within COSC standards and I love the fact that their designs are getting funky too. W&W – thanks to you and Orient Watch USA for this very generous prize.

    All the best,

    [email protected]

  30. Love worn&wound. Your review led me to ordering an Orient Bambino and I love it.

Great idea for a giveaway and I hope to win and add another Orient to my watch rotation!

  31. First off I would like to say that this watch is like something out of a James Bond movie. Second, If I win this watch it would be super-glued to my wrist because I wouldn’t take it of…EVER. Showing off my watch to everyone. πŸ™‚ ” Yup, It’s Orient Disk. Don’t stare too hard. The awesome-ness might just melt your eyes off.” Keep the awesome watch designs coming!

  32. I’ve never seen a watch like this before, very interesting. Beyond the disk I quite like the green/black color choice.

  33. The quality of your reviews is fantastic. On top of that, the high-quality pictures and videos truly helped me in deciding on a new watch!

  34. First visit to Worn and Wound. WOW! I have book marked and put you on my desktop. I will be back repeatedly. Thanks. Hope I win the watch. Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!

  35. once more i ll enter a contest, knowing that my luck isnt shall we say …….well i have no luck whatsoever

  36. I recently discovered this site and have been loving it. Liking the look of the Orient too. Nice watch.

  37. Great coverage of the watch market. I love the breadth of what you review and the different slant you take on the watch market. A unique site that is well worth following.

  38. Being obsessed with watches and spending most of my time scouring the net for decent watch sites, I came across W&W accidentally. Now, I need not ever look elsewhere. Worn & Wound is simply the Bible for watches. What you cover is simply Gospel. Keep up the god (good*) work. πŸ™‚

  39. Orient never disappoints, great bang for buck. I really, really like the design on this one, although I can imagine it’s not for everyone.

Also, always a pleasure to visit your site, great taste in watches that are not out of reach for most people. Keep doing what you do.

  40. Just discovered this site yesterday and it’s an amazing one! As for this watch, it’s quite a piece of art! Really like the hour hand!
    Great review on the watch!

  41. Great site, I visit it everyday! Nice and simple design in displaying time in a contemporary format with added uniqueness to it. And of course its an Orient, bang for buck timepiece.

  42. Orient is quickly becoming one of my favorite reasonably priced watch companies. They really make great watches. Another great review from W&W! I love your articles!

  43. I enjoy reading all of your reviews, and appreciate the great pictures and well written posts. This is one of my favorite watch blogs. Thanks!

  44. Can’t believe I’ve only just come across this site; loving the reviews and must have this Orient!!

  45. ah~ newfound watch addict, bought my first “real” watch earlier this month in the black mako, just got the orient flight.. the disk would be awesome as well!

  46. Would love this watch. My girlfriend was in a car accident then was diagnosed with leukemia but she told me all she wants is for me to get this watch.

  47. I have become an increased fan of Orient, especially this very watch. So much quality for the price.

  48. I normally never enter this kind of things, but the watch really does look nice and January 24th is my birthday (why not give luck a chance?)

Also – since I’m here – thanks for the reviews, you’re the one who made me get my beautiful Zeppelin LZ129!

  49. Love the blog. Send all my watch friends to it. probably shouldn’t have done that since it means I have more people to compete with for these giveaways!

  50. really enjoying the sandwich dial on this one. not sure about the color change on the hour hand, but I’d love to have it in person to get used to it!

  51. I really love your site.

I follow a few other timepiece sites but I love the fact that your site does not focus solely on luxury brands but reviews interesting and more affordable/attainable timepieces!

It’s a new year and I hope everyone will be able to see more great reviews!

  52. Like to win this amazing watch. Keep up the good work with this website. I love the reviews and the nice videos.

  53. Hoping to snatch the giveaway! Might as well make sure to thank you guys for an amazing site. I’m currently waiting for a Junkers 6060-5 to arrive, a decision that you helped me make after you thoroughly reviewed the Zeppelin Hindenburg.

  54. Great site and great review!

The videos on your reviews are fantastic – great way to see the watch at different angles. I always found video to be a better real-life representation of a watch’s color than photos.

I really like the rotating disk for the minute hand, never seen anything like this design before, much less in an automatic – a simple but ingenious touch!

  55. This yet another interesting watch by Orient. They have a knack for making good watches at a great price.

  56. As real WIS (Watch Idiot Savant) I’m always on the outlook for the extraordinary. There are to many ‘homages’ of the submariner for instance and others out there, that I often think, there is hardly any fantasy any more. Now comes this watch from Orient, still a brand that does it a bit differently, especially in the past, then most brands. So this watch ticks many boxes with me, so it would be great to add a 3rd and so special looking Orient to my collection…
I’m glad that wornandwound added this one for review, i might have missed it otherwise…

  57. I like the hour “disk”. It’s unique, without being ostentatious. The markers and the rest of the case are a nice, straight up example of form following function. A real winner!

  58. The Orient Disk is definitely a unique watch, and it is always interesting to see how different watch companies differentiate their brand from others. Thanks for the giveaway!

  59. Tricky looking modern design with just the right color accents. This works in many settings, sports some interesting details and simply looks great.

  60. Love Orient’s designs. Been eyeing the Disk for some time and it would be my genuine pleasure to strap it to my wrist.

  61. Thank you for introducing me to this brand. Stumbled across this site today and think I will be on here a lot more.

  62. Thanks for running such a fantastic and relevant website for watch aficionados. It’s thanks to you guys that I’m wearing a Seagull 1963 right now. Keep up the fantastic work!
