I have to hand it to Orient. I like the Bambino and this Sparta looks like a much more expensive watch than it actually is. Nicely done modern interpretation of military and pilot watch elements.

i m honestly really liking that day date style. Well it s not surprising that much coming from Orient, they do some pretty nice stuffs most of the time. I just wish they where more widely distributed over here, as i prefer to touch a watch before buying it.

Been wearing orient automatic watches they didn’t fail me the accuracy of time and this is definitely an addition to my collection, I like the bezel and the classic design of the dial.
Well, I hadn’t planned on getting another Orient soon since I just bought a Symphony (which I definitely recommand to any new watch enthusiast), but this one just got on the shortlist…

When I first saw the W&W review I tried to buy this watch! However, since I live in Canada Orient USA would not sell it to me. Even though the web site was designed with Canadian addresses and postal codes available to be entered, it was no go! So this is my attempt to get my hands on this very desirable piece. I have a few of the Seiko 5’s and this seems like a larger, more dressy day/date version.

Just a beautiful looking piece
This watch gives the appearance of being much larger than it is, which is nice for those that want the look of a watch that makes a statement without being too large for smaller wrists. I am wondering which Worn&Wound strap would look best with it.
Orient offers more stylish time pieces compared to their Japanese competitors and reasonably priced. The Sparta is a fine example that offers great looks, legible dial, good colour combinations and sized just right. This watch’s looks will look good whether you choose to wear it for formal occasions or on weekends.
The Sparta would make a nice addition to my watch collection!

The design is a good “mash-up” of a diver’s, pilot, vintage etc. A bit large-ish but 48mm lug to lug makes it fit small wristed folk like me!
I would have a lot more money to my name if it weren’t for these convincing and well written reviews. I think I have been bitten by the bug again.

Handsome watch. Orient has a class and their own style. They often have eye catching watches of their own creation. I am not seriously considering an Orient for myself and son.
Orient as a brand and the Sparta watch both receive an “A” for effort.

At first glance of the thumbnail, I wasn’t digging it — the bezel felt a little bold for my taste, but upon further inspection in the review, I’ve definitely changed my mind. Very cool watch, and great work by W&W per usual.

I love field and tactical / military style watches. This is a very nice piece.
I love the dial, and knurling around the bezel, but the day window.. not so much. This watch is probably one that you have to see in person to appreciate.

The Sparta surely seems like a nice watch. With the products that Orient puts out, it’d be a sure bet in my book. Also, loving the colors used on the face. Much like the last picture in the review, I’d probably end up opting for a NATO strap.
This watch just made my day. It looks great and the colours are perfectly chosen. Being someone who has spent a bit of time lifting heavy bits of iron and putting them down again, the knurled outside edge does it for me. This could be the watch I have been looking for!
