Vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille

First up this week is this beautiful minimalistic Omega Seamaster DeVille presentation watch in 14k yellow gold circa 1966. The solid gold case looks clean and unpolished, with super slim straight lugs. The back has an IBM presentation engraving dated 7/21/66. The champagne dial looks original and nearly perfect, with simple gold stick hour markers and hands. The Omega signed crown is correct. The watch comes with an Omega metal presentation box that shows lots of discoloration, which is common on these boxes. Seller states the watch runs well, no picture of the movement as the case is the front-loading type.

Vintage Bulova Accutron Day & Date

Next up is a really cool and unusual Accutron. This model is unique with its “up-down” day/date configuration. The day is read vertically and is positioned just below the 12, and the date window is at 6. I love the way this dial design is so symmetrical. The dial does seem to have a light, fairly even patina that is not unpleasant. The square hour markers are lume filled and match the big stick hands nicely. Correct signed crown at 4 o’clock. The caliber 2182 tuning fork movement is clean and runs per the seller.

Vintage Hamilton Chrono-Matic

Now here’s an absolute beauty, a vintage Hamilton Chrono-Matic chronograph  with full kit! This is a model that Hamilton has brought out again as a ‘heritage’ piece, but the original vintage is always better than the remake. The sky blue two register dial is super clean, and has the date window at 6o’clock, which I love. Hamilton made this a unique design placing the crown at 9 o’clock while leaving the chronograph buttons on the 3 o’clock side. The steel case is crisp and unpolished, and is in great shape. The Hamilton caliber 11 manual wind movement is clean as a whistle, and the seller states the watch currently runs and functions properly. Best of all this stunner comes complete with outer and inner boxes, instructions, guarantee booklet, hang tags and even a service receipt from Hamilton! If you’ve ever wanted one of these, it doesn’t get better than this.

Seiko H558-5009 Arnie Diver

If you’re in the market for a rugged looking diver, look no further than this classic vintage Seiko H558-5009. This model is nicknamed the “Arnie” after Arnold Schwarzenegger famously wore it in several of his action movies, including Predator. It’s a great looking watch, with the famous “tuna” protective shroud around the case. It’s a quartz analog watch with an additional digital readout for more functions. These are often beat up since It’s a genuine tool watch, but this example has survived well, and even comes on the original rubber strap!

Vintage Swiss Plubel

Here is a nice simple dress watch. I’ve never heard of Plubel watches before, but the bombe style lugs and silver dial with steel markers caught my eye. The 35mm case is chrome plated with a steel beck. The back has a nice deeply engraved “P” logo in a fancy shield that looks pretty cool. The dial, markers and steel dauphine hands are a classic look. Often these “no-name” vintage watches come with crappy movements, but this one looks to be a 21 jewel ETA that is clean and the seller states it is running. Fun piece that should go quite inexpensively I think.

Vintage Seiko 7123

Finishing up this week’s Finds with another piece that shouldn’t over tax your wallet. This Seiko Quartz 723-8460 is clean and simple, with a steel case and silver/white dial, both in great condition. There is a day/date window at 3 o’clock that is pretty standard for Seiko. The watch runs per the seller, and comes on its original brick link steel bracelet. This would make an excellent “grab and go” vintage piece to wear without worry.
