QUICK RELEASE in Partnership with Karl-Leimon

Revel in the Majesty Automatic from Japanese Watchmaker Karl-Leimon

Built from two watch enthusiasts’ desire to balance excellent design with affordable prices, Karl-Leimon is set to launch a mechanical version of their sports steel model “Majesty.” Pre-orders are available for purchase starting at $595 on the Karl-Leimon site.

After a successful brand start, offering a Moonphase watch in 2017, the brand lamented a seemingly industry-wide focus to an upscale strategy. As a result, it has become more difficult for people who are interested in the world of watches to get started, and the market for new entrants has become more limited and even more fanatical. Six years after its launch, the company finally completed the Majesty Automatic, as one of a series of introductory mechanical watches.

With the Majesty Automatic, Karl-Leimon focused on the luxurious finish with uncompromising dial texture and three-dimensional accents, thanks to features like the polished multi-faceted diamond-cut applied indices, vertically brushed applied logo, and minute track inside ring, enhancing the elegance of the simple design. Both the indices and hands utilize luminescent coating to achieve a night-light function, providing a heightened level of visibility unique to sports watches.

A bracelet-integrated model designed and crafted holistically from the case to the bracelet. The front surface of the bezel features a brushed finish, while the edges undergo a polished finish to evoke a sense of luxury. The addition of layered elements, emphasizing straight lines between the case and bezel, imparts a sporty feel. Furthermore, cut surfaces have been introduced into the line connecting the case to the bracelet, adding a smooth impression and a sense of luxury. The interplay of curves, straight lines, and cut surfaces all together creates reflections of light that exude a sense of sophistication.

The Majesty features the Japanese-made high-beat movements, cal.9015 and cal.9029. High-beat refers to the 28,800 vibrations per hour (8 vibrations per second), reducing the amplitude of the second hand’s swing and significantly enhances the accuracy of the watch.

Karl-Leimon also offers an interchangeable strap, referring to a mechanism where the strap of a watch integrated with the case can be exchanged without tools and with bare hands. This allows for the freedom to switch between metal and rubber straps, enabling the watch to be enjoyed both as an elegant accessory and a sporty addition, all in one timepiece.

For those who question industry trends, Karl-Leimon has challenged itself to create an entry-level model mechanical watch so that people can enjoy the original charm of a wristwatch in a more casual manner. The Majesty Automatic is offered in two models, an Open Heart and a 3Hands Date, both available in Blue and Black dials. Pre-order your Majesty Automatic, starting at $595, on the Karl-Leimon shop today.
