What to Watch for at Windup Watch Fair NYC 2024

Whenever and wherever a bunch of enthusiasts get together to talk about their passion, it’s sure to be a good time. But the Windup Watch Fair is different. Windup always feels like a seminal moment for our little corner of the watch world—which, let’s face it, isn’t so little anymore. Enthusiasts have become an absolutely critical audience to watch brands from around the world. It’s the enthusiasts who adopt early. It’s the enthusiasts who spread the news. It’s the enthusiasts who set the trends. And the over 130 brands who are flocking to Windup NYC in just a couple of weeks know it. Thank YOU for making Windup what it is today—the largest and most important watch enthusiast event in the world, taking place at:

Center415 on 5th Avenue
between 37th and 38th Streets (415 Fifth Ave)
Friday, October 18: 12PM – 6PM
Saturday, October 19: 12PM – 6PM

This year, Windup NYC will not disappoint. First and foremost, Windup NYC has a new home. Nestled right on iconic 5th Ave in Manhattan, between 37th and 38th, is Center415. It’s a massive multi-floor venue that, for three days, will be the home to over 130 watch and EDC brands from 16 different countries around the world. This event is anchored by five Lead Sponsors who are planning some great product stories to tell, namely: Bulova, Christopher Ward, Fortis, Oris, and Shinola. Here’s a quick rundown of what to watch for at Windup!

Bulova

Celebrating 150 years, our friends at Bulova will be showcasing their new Super Seville and a dark green Surveyor, of which they will have a special New York City version of for the show!

Christopher Ward

As we all know, Christopher Ward is on a bit of a tear right now. And so far this year that track record has culminated in their brightest idea yet, the new C60 Trident Lumière.

Fortis

Fortis also returns again as a lead sponsor with their full selection of redefined tool watches, including their space-tested Novonaut collection and something new designed especially with the jet-setting super commuter in mind.

Oris

Oris, will have both their Aquis Chronograph, an everyday watch with 3, 6, and 9 sub-counters, and their limited edition Ligue de Football Professionnel in support of the charity football tournament, Les Défenseurs de l’Enfance.

Shinola

Shinola returns to Windup as a Lead Sponsor and will be showcasing their full complement of mechanical timepieces, including their new limited edition Canfield Speedway automatic chronograph.

EDC Expo Presented by NOMATIC

We will also have a wide range of activations and special installations for you to enjoy throughout the weekend. First and foremost, Windup NYC will see the return of EDC Expo presented by NOMATIC. In 2023 we launched what is affectionately referred to as EDC Alley, and earlier this year in San Francisco, we took our everyday carry offering to the next level as EDC Expo. NOMATIC will be joined by a slew of accessory brands and carry solutions that will enhance your watch shopping experience such as: Able Carry, Boundary Layer Studio, Giant Mouse, Pro-Tech Knives, Spring Made, UrbanCred, Vault, and more!

Celebrate 50 Years of Casio

Also, on the second floor, just before entering the main hall, you can experience 50 years of Casio watches. We’ll have an entire room dedicated to this brand that has helped drive so many enthusiasts deeper down the rabbit hole. From Casio’s first digital timepiece to the most sophisticated G-SHOCKs of today, this showcase will make you nostalgic for your past and excited to celebrate the future with a new, digital addition to your collection.

AXIA Time x Heisman Trophy Trust

We’re honored to be the chosen venue for AXIA Time—creators of custom Swiss-made automatic timepieces that commemorate life’s greatest achievements—to unveil the freshly minted relationship with the Heisman Trophy Trust as the official timepiece of the Heisman Trophy. Not only will the design of the official watch bestowed to Heisman finalists and honorees be unveiled at Windup, but attendees will be able to be photographed with the actual Heisman Trophy! We thank both AXIA Time and the Heisman Trophy Trust for choosing Windup Watch Fair NYC as the inaugural event of this announcement!

Vortic Watch Company x Jack Ryan’s Military Edition Watches

Don’t miss visiting the Vortic Watch Company booth this year where they will showcase three watches worn by actors in the hit Prime TV show “Jack Ryan,” including the show’s lead John Krasinski. Two of the watches will be auctioned by Christie’s during the bi-annual Brian LaViolette Foundation charity event on December 9 in New York City. The second watch, worn by Krasinski himself, will be part of a sweepstakes hosted by Vortic Watch Company, where anyone can enter to win it by providing an email address at their Windup booth.

Coffee Bar by Brew

We’ve heard the call and responded. You want more fuel for your watch-finding, and Brew is here to provide it. Brew Watches will sponsor a coffee bar at this year’s Windup. It’ll be your first stop as you enter the second floor of this year’s Windup experience. Brew will be brewing up Birch Coffee to keep you on your toes as you navigate all the new timepieces and gear at Windup.

Bruichladdich Bar

For their third Windup in a row, we’re honored to have Bruichladdich Distillery back as our bar and spirits sponsor! Their single malt range is well-known for its classic and floral house style and as we all know, nothing pairs better with watches than whisky. Enjoy a free tasting or pick up one of their signature cocktails at the bar!

Over 50 First Time Brands
If this weekend is going to be your first time at Windup New York, you won’t be alone. We’re excited to welcome 54 brands to Windup New York for the first time ever. From bag brands to EDC to even more well-made watches, the Fair continues to be the premiere spot for enthusiasts and brands to connect. Brands like Blum Safe and Boundary Layer continue to push the boundaries of what attendees can expect to see at the fair. More familiar names like Forstner and Timex add even more history to an already historic fair.
