Bell & Ross Adds White Dial To BR 03-92 Diver Collection

Bell & Ross have a rather unique diver on their hands with the BR 03-92 collection, and it may come as a surprise that a basic white dial has been absent from that collection as of yet. That changes this week with the introduction of the BR 03-92 Diver White, which features a silver opaline dial with black accents. This is a collection of divers that’s never been shy on color, with the usual black, blue, and orange offerings alongside options like brown and even full lume. The design accepts the hues rather well, and white is no exception, presenting a sterile, highly legible take on the watch, all in typical Bell & Ross style.

The BR 03-92 is a part of the brand’s Instrument family, and as such gets the familiar square case modeled after literal aircraft instrumentation panels. The look works well in diving watch guise, with the addition of a rotating bezel assembly and integrated crown guards. This collection does away with the oversized numerals we’re accustomed to with B&R watches, opting instead for more traditional dive watch circular plots filled with lume along with a set of wide hands. Visibility is excellent across the dial thanks to thick black outlines, making this possibly the most technically appealing diver of the lot.

If you don’t plan on diving with this one, the BR 03-92 is slightly more challenging when it comes to day to day wear. The ergonomics of this case shape will be a challenge for some wrists, at least more so than the 42mm diameter, and 12mm thickness imply. The square case of the shape presents considerably more material on wrist than a glance at the numbers suggest, wearing a bit bigger than you might anticipate. The wide strap integration plays into the full width of that square so it eats a lot of real estate throughout. Still wearable, but perhaps not the best everyday option (depending on your typical daily activities, I suppose).

Still, this is a great looking watch if you’re a fan of the Bell & Ross aesthetic and would make for a great weekend option. Inside you’ll find the automatic BR-CAL.302 movement, based on the Sellita SW300 which adds a discreet date aperture near the 4 o’clock index (color matched to the dial). The watch is water resistant to 300 meters or 1,000 feet, and is offered on your choice of black leather, or synthetic fabric.

The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White is available now starting at $3,990. Bell & Ross.
