A Sneak Preview of the San Francisco Windup Watch Fair

We’re less than a week away from kicking off the San Francisco Windup Watch Fair – our biggest Bay Area event ever. Products from over 40 brands will be on display, and several brands will be participating in Windup for the first time, like Fortis, Maurice Lacroix, Minase, Nivada Grenchen, Vertex, and many more. Meanwhile, several of our favorite brands are returning with some great new watches, including Oris, Brew Watch Co., Farer, G-SHOCK, MK II, NORQAIN, Vortic, and Zodiac, just to name a few. Here’s a full, updated list of all of the participating brands:

You can check out all of these brands Friday April 22 through Sunday April 24 at 511 Harrison St, in San Francisco. In the meantime, we’ve put together a sneak peak at some of the watches you can expect to get your hands on in San Francisco later this month.

Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400

The Oris ProPilot X returns in a new, lithe package. The descendant of the 2019 ProPilot X Cal 115, the new model features the same sleek, stealthy looks, but the new 5-day automatic caliber 400 inside and a very wearable size. Part of the Big Crown ProPilot line, the X isn’t just a modern take on a pilot’s watch, it has one foot in the future too. With sharp angles, Oris’ signature turbine bezel, and a matte-finished titanium construction, the ProPilot X looks like it’s meant to move fast. Learn more here.

Bespoke Watch Projects Intaglio 38 Tonneau

Sometimes less is (a lot) more. Each Ombré Radial Dial is patinated, engraved, and hand-finished in Bespoke Watch Projects’ California studio using brass, copper, sterling silver, or zinc. The result is a distinctive & tactile dial, akin to that of a unique piece of art.

Incorporated into their new 38mm Tonneau case, each timepiece is an ideal balance of tool and dress watch—an ultimate statement piece. Learn more here.

Brew Watch Co. Retrograph Espresso

In the early 1930s a specific category of chronograph watches were nicknamed telephone timers. They were designed with special markings that highlighted a range between every 3 minutes on the subdial register. After each 3 minute marker was reached, it would remind the wearer that they would need to insert another coin in the meter to continue their call.

Similar to this method of counting seconds and minutes with a direct correlation to the wearers action – the Retrograph has specific markers that specify when the optimal espresso shot has been extracted. The time for this ranges from 25 to 35 seconds – depending on the barista and the machine. Learn more here.

Christopher Ward C60 Bronze Ombré Green COSC LE

Waterproof to 600m, with a COSC movement and a distressed ombré dial unique to each watch, this 500-piece limited edition is as tough and as individual as they come. Over time, its bronze case and bezel will – if you allow it to, of course – become as exclusive to you as its one-off dial. Christopher Ward’s ombré dials are unique – literally so. Each is hand-finished with a one-of-a-kind combination of scratches, which means that your watch will be subtly different to every other one they make. Learn more here.

G-SHOCK GMWB5000MB-1

Explore an intense texture crafted in an array of fine finishes on a black metal canvas. Introducing the GMWB5000MB-1, a true heir to the first-ever G-SHOCK in a multi-finish matte black metal design.

The art of timepiece finishes is on full display with this watch. Honing finishes feature prominently on the bezel and band, with sides treated in a hairline finish and beveled band surfaces, screws and buttons treated in a mirror finish. The entire watch is then coated in black ion plating.

Finally, the top surface of the bezel is polished once again in a hairline finish to expose nearly all of the stainless steel beneath the ion plating. Learn more here.

The 40mm automatic-winding NORQAIN NEVEREST Night Sight 40mm DLC has a bold dial that emits a green glow in the dark thanks to powerful X1 Super-LumiNova, which is 60% stronger than standard Super-LumiNova. In the light of day, the black numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock stand out against a sand-colored background. Learn more here.
