Introducing: The James Brand x Timex White Dial Expedition North

The James Brand and Timex linked up last year to release their first ever collaboration with the Expedition North Titanium. The watch combined the James Brand approach to creating sleek, cleanly designed everyday carry tools and Timex’s military inspired field watch from their Expedition North collection. The result, a 41 mm black dial no-fuss daily wearer encased in titanium that unmistakably tells the date and time. Today, the James Brand and Timex announce the release of their next limited edition collaboration with another Expedition North Titanium, but this time in a crisp white dial.

The dial on the James Brand x Timex Expedition North is intentionally straightforward. Black Arabic numerals make up the inner 24 hour ring and applied slim trapezoidal markers are used to demarcate the hours. The black minute track, as well as the black surrounds around each of the markers and hands create a legible contrast against the white dial. Expect that high visibility to translate over in the dark since the James Brand x Timex Expedition North is kitted with C3 Super-Luminova; the highest brightness yield out of all the Super-Luminova colors.

The titanium case construction follows the James Brand minimalist design philosophy. The lugs, midcase and fixed bezel are all uniformly finished. It’s simple, practical and effective, much like the James Brand Stilwell pen, Mehlville carabiner, or Elko knife. A set of crown guards embrace the lime green James Brand signed screwdown crown and the 41 mm lightweight case also comes equipped with 200 meters of water resistance.

Holding true to the previous collaboration, the James Brand x Timex Expedition North is powered by an Miyota automatic movement which will appeal to those that prefer a mechanical movement over a solar movement, which is the norm throughout the Timex Expedition North collection. The watch is accompanied by a two-piece gray fabric strap (with matching titanium signed hardware) made out of #tide ocean material (An upcycling method that turns ocean-bound plastic into a raw material), falling in line with Timex’s mission for their Expedition North collection to reduce their impact on the environment.

The white dial James Brand x Timex Expedition North is available as of today at the price of $349 and will be a limited run of 1,000 pieces. The James Brand x Timex
