First Look at the Nomos x Timeless Club Campus NBCF Editions

Nomos has partnered with Timeless Luxury Watches and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) on two new editions of the popular Club Campus. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these watches goes directly to the NBCF, an organization whose mission is to help those impacted by breast cancer through early detection and treatment, support, and education. Let’s take a closer look at these new versions of Nomos’s California-dialed Club Campus.

The thematic element that links these two watches together is the use of pink on the dial. The smaller version, at 36mm, is perhaps the more feminine of the two NBCF pieces, and makes use of a great deal of pink and purple hues in the Arabic and Roman numerals, against a stark silvered dial that is something of a Nomos trademark. The running second hand at 6:00 is in pink as well, and the eagle-eyed among you will notice that the text below six that typically reads “Made in Germany” has been changed to “Have Hope.” Typical of the best Nomos designs, the 36mm NBCF watch doesn’t include any wasted space, and the colors exist in a harmony that seems obvious when taking your first glance, but was clearly the result of a great deal of consideration.

The other special edition Club Campus being released to benefit the NBCF is a 38.5mm version with a dial in a dark and rich blue. The pink here is much more subtle — just an accent on the running seconds hand — and the minutes track on the outer rim of the dial gets an additional contrasting element, shaded in a light blue.

Both watches make use of the Nomos Alpha movement, a hand wound movement that for these special editions has been upgraded with the Nomos Swing System, the brand’s in-house escapement. The caseback is closed and adorned with the NBCF logo and a tree branch that is meant to symbolize life, growth, and hope for the future. Timeless and Nomos are also offering owners the chance to have a customized message engraved on the caseback.
