Giveaway: Win a Tockr C-47 Watch and a Trip in a Historic C-47 Aircraft

Tockr is generously offering Worn & Wound readers in the United States the chance to win one of their C-47 watch models and a trip to Austin Texas to fly in a historic C-47 plane. More on the giveaway in a bit. First, here’s a bit about Tockr and their C-47 line.

Founded in October 2017, Tockr originates in Austin, Texas, the hometown of the brand’s Founder, Austin Ivey. Austin’s inspiration can be traced back to his grandfather, Eugene Xerxes Martin Jr., a U.S. Army pilot who flew a C-47 aircraft during World War II. Serving in the Army Air Transport Command, Lieutenant Martin began his service as a P-51 Mustang flight instructor. He went on to fly C-47 Skytrain transport planes over the “Hump,” the infamous Eastern end of the Himalayan Mountains between China and India. He successfully flew 52 missions for which he was awarded the China War Memorial Medal.

Named after the Douglas C-47 Skytrain, the C-47 Radial and C-47 Radial Wing timepieces feature designs based on the radial engines found in the C-47 aircraft, in which the pistons radiate outwards from the central crankcase. The engine face is cast in bronze then finished in silver, dark grey or black and finally polished by hand. All hands on the C-47 series have an application of lime green Super-LumiNova for increased visibility in low light conditions. The C-47 Radial and C-47 Radial Wing models are made in Switzerland and feature Swiss automatic movements made by Leschot Engineering in Neuchatel. Each C-47 case is individually numbered. These models range in price from $2,300 to $2,600. The first batch of C-47 pieces are nearly sold out (making this a great opportunity to grab one for yourself). The few remaining units are currently available from Tockr.com, Neiman Marcus, and True Facet.

To celebrate their successful launch, Tockr is offering Worn & Wound readers in the United States the chance to win one of their C-47 watches, as well as an all-expenses paid trip for one person to Austin for two nights and a flight on the Bluebonnet Belle C-47. To enter, you just have to go to this giveaway sign-up page on Tockr’s website and sign up for their email newsletter, including your first and last name and valid email address. That’s it! As noted, the giveaway will end December 31, 2017 at 11:59 PM. After which, a winner will be selected at random by Tockr. There are a few basic rules to keep in mind. First, this giveaway is open to United States residents only and you must be over the age of 18 to enter. You can only enter the giveaway once. If selected as the winner, you must reply to Tockr’s notification email within 24 hours. If you don’t reply within 24 hours, another winner will be selected. You are also responsible for providing Tockr with a valid shipping address for your watch. As noted above, the trip to Austin is tentatively scheduled for February 2018, however, this date is subject to change at Tockr’s full discretion.
