Introducing the Monk Made x worn&wound Minimalist Bifold

Just a few months ago, we announced our very exciting Shell Cordovan exterior wallets, made in collaboration with Monk Made Goods. They were a huge hit, so we decided to quickly follow that up with a new, compact design called the Minimalist Bifold. A vertical concept, the Minimalist Bifold is a more discreet way to carry your cash and cards.

Coming in at 4.5” x 3.5”, the Minimalist is considerably smaller than the classic design we had previously released. This allows for it to comfortably fit the front pocket of your pants, or breast pocket of your blazer, and create little bulging. This makes them great for a more streamlined look, especially when wearing formal clothing.

Smaller doesn’t however mean lesser in any way, shape or form. Inside, you’ll find four card slots, more than enough for your primary credit card, ATM card, ID and public transportation pass. You’ll also find two “hidden” pockets, which are great for storing cash, business cards and the like. So, while minimal, this wallet can do everything you need it to.

And, like its larger brother, it’s a great example of Jason Boone’s, the one-man dynamo at Monk Make Goods, remarkable leather-craft talent. Made with Comipel Shell Cordovan exteriors and vegetable-tanned leather interiors, every stitch is hand-punched and pulled in Saddle style, and every edge is hand-beveled and burnished to a glossy luster. They are as much objects to appreciate as they are to use.

For the Minimalist Bifold, we decided to try two new colors; Tobacco and Black. The Tobacco has a gorgeous medium tan color with a strong orange undertone. It is paired with natural lining and off-white stitching for an overall earthy look. The Black is black all the way through, with black lining and stitch as well. It looks downright striking.
