Introducing the Sinn Duoflex Strap System for U Series Dive Watches

One of the reasons we love Sinn is for the way they engineer their watches to get very specific jobs done easily and without fuss. Their series of EZM timers ram this point home with watches made for specific jobs — rescue pilots, fire brigades, and so forth.

Their commitment to producing no-compromise tools extends beyond just the watches, and now covers adjustable diving straps. Introducing the Duoflex Diving Strap system, designed to be used with Sinn’s U series divers.
Now, this system isn’t entirely new. Sinn introduced something like this back in 2017 as the accompanying strap for their EZM 12. Retrofitted here with endlink adapters meant to fit to the lugs of U series watch cases and a clasp that allows for fine adjustment, the Duoflex allows for easy strap swapping and adjustment on-the-fly, perfect for when you need to fit a dive watch over a wetsuit, the heat has caused your wrist to swell, or you’ve just eaten a particularly salty meal. The basic idea here is that the Duoflex strap can be easily attached to the watch head without tools, and then further adjusted at the clasp (5mm in either direction, according to Sinn), allowing for the ultimate in flexibility.

Quick adjustment via the clasp on a sports watch is a game changer. Bracelets and straps that require tools to finely adjust their length slow you down, and somehow never get that perfect fit. All the better that the strap can be mounted without the use of a spring bar tool (the underside of your U series lugs thank you). If you’re a U series owner looking for strap options, the quick adjust Duoflex system is worth checking out. Sinn

Zach is a native of New Hampshire, and he has been interested in watches since the age of 13, when he walked into Macy’s and bought a gaudy, quartz, two-tone Citizen chronograph with his hard earned Bar Mitzvah money. It was lost in a move years ago, but he continues to hunt for a similar piece on eBay. Zach loves a wide variety of watches, but leans toward classic designs and proportions that have stood the test of time. He is currently obsessed with Grand Seiko.
