Meet the New and Improved Shellback V2 from Tusenö

Following the successful release and subsequent sold-out edition in late 2022, Swedish brand Tusenö released the highly anticipated Shellback V2 with a refined aesthetics and more technical aspects based on valuable customer feedback. One significant upgrade involves replacing the Ronda R150 movement with the more widely recognized Sellita SW200, available in both date and no-date versions. They’ve introduced a slimmer clasp for seamless integration with the bracelet, while retaining a convenient 9mm on-the-fly extension feature. Additionally, the clasp now boasts a durable 1200HV scratch-resistant coating, ensuring a pristine appearance over time.

The fully articulating flat link bracelet that adapts flawlessly to any wrist size remains in the design, along with quick-change spring bars for effortless strap changes.

Numerous design enhancements contribute to the watch’s overall harmony, such as removing the luminova-pipe in the bezel triangle for a modern touch, strategically thickening every fifth-minute rail marking for improved readability, and enhancing the textured silver printing around the hour indexes. The quality of the dial printing has been improved, and the curvature of the model name now complements the hour hand as it rotates from the fifth to the seventh-hour marker even better.

With this the release, the Shellback V2 also comes in two new models: one featuring a semi-matte white dial with orange accents, gunmetal gray hands, and a stainless steel bezel, and the other with a fully black DLC-coated version, showcasing a semi-matte black dial, gunmetal gray plated hands, and red accents. Both models sport the Tusenö symbol, The Guiding Light, in a contrasting shiny finish just above the model name, visible at certain angles, adding a subtle yet distinctive touch.
