QUICK RELEASE in Partnership with Helicon

Wear The Deep Twilight With The Blue Hour Master From Helicon

The latest release in the Helicon Master Collection, the delectable Blue Hour was one of the most difficult dials to create.  Helicon sought out to capture the exquisite beauty of that period of twilight when the sun dips below the horizon, creating a vibrant blue sky mixed with the last of the sun’s orange light, fading below the horizon.

To create the look of this stunning natural phenomenon on a watch face, but with real depth and beauty, took months. Helicon finally settled on the beautiful true blue and a soft polychromatic orange, adding a beautiful 3-dimensional shimmer. Each dial is individually and lovingly made by hand. This means that every fade or ‘ombre’ effect is unique, creating unique elements in each watch face.

The Blue Hour also features Helicon’s first blue ceramic bezel. Colored ceramic is notoriously hard to source and took years of work with ceramic specialists until they were able to source a mid-blue to complement the unique dial. One note: continuing their practice of making small editions, there will only ever be 50 pieces of the Blue Hour made worldwide. This makes the Helicon Master Blue Hour, truly collectable.

Every watch features a crisp, 3D image of a pearl diver on its case back and is individually numbered out of 50 – and Helicon guarantees that the colors will never be repeated once each batch is sold-out.

The Helicon Master series is a true, professional-quality tool watch. Taking its design cues from a 1960s prototype discovered in the archives of a now forgotten Swiss watchmaker, the series combine many of the most appealing form-and-function features from that ‘golden era’ with the best materials, technology and build techniques available today. As a result, the Helicon Master offers a quintessential vintage look while being entirely fit for purpose, meaning it is highly legible, comfortable, easy to wear, accurate and very robust.

The sensibly sized 38.5mm diameter case is made from top-grade 316L stainless steel and is topped with a domed sapphire crystal to ensure water resistance down to 200 meters. Inside, a bespoke IPS-plated inner case (or ‘Faraday cage’) both ensures a high degree of magnetic resistance and offers additional shock protection to the highly accurate, Seiko manufactured automatic movement. A 120-click unidirectional bezel is fitted with a scratch-resistant ceramic insert, its markings highlighted with Swiss C3 Superluminova to ensure visibility in even the murkiest of conditions. Add to that, a matched 316L stainless steel bracelet with dive extension, fold-over safety clasp, micro adjustment and push-button release, and the Helicon Diver’s credentials are complete.

Only fifty watches in each of the four color versions of the Helicon Master collection are produced. Every watch sold comes with a matching color hat (pictured below), while supplies last. Be sure to check out the newly released Blue Hour colorway of the Helicon Master collection starting around $596.26 (not including tax) on the Helicon Site.
