Unimatic is back with another striking collaboration, this time with KNT (Kiton New Textures), delivering a new Modello Quattro that represents a new evolution of the popular case. The newest reference is officially called the U4S-KNT, and it’s packing a Selitta SW-200, meaning the case thickness has been trimmed down a full millimeter, from 13.4 to 12.4. This isn’t the first time we’re seeing this movement used by Unimatic, as it continues to transition into trimmer, more wearable cases throughout each of their collections. It’s a most welcome shift if the fixed bezel U4, and while the watch may be more wrist friendly, they haven’t held back on any of the drama visually.
This collaboration is done with Kiton New Textures, or KNT, an Italian based clothing brand that creates ‘urbanwear’ with an emphasis on experimentation, focusing on the research into fibers, yarns, and workmanship. It’s an offshoot of the classic stylings of the Kiton Group. The collaboration with Unimatic has resulted in a high contrast black and blue color scheme similar to what we see in some of the clothing brand’s seasonal offerings.
