OMEGA SPEEDMASTER: TO THE MOON AND BACK

The 50th anniversary of the moon landing is fast approaching (it’s July 20th, by the way). To mark this important milestone, Sotheby’s is putting together a Speedmaster-themed auction that will take place in New York the day before. There will be 50 lots — many of them vintage Speedies — but there will also be a handful of moon landing-related ephemera. If you’re in New York, then you can preview the auction at Sotheby’s from July 13-18, and the auction begins at 2pm on the 19th.

Stranger Things is back for its third outing on Netflix this weekend, and this time the show really ups the ante with its oh-so-many ‘80s pop culture references. From Red Dawn and Terminator to Cheers and Alien, there are easter eggs throughout the entire eight-episode stretch.
