An EDC update from Peter McKinnon

When it comes to blending Every Day Carry, photography, and story telling, few people manage to do it like Peter McKinnon does.  Over the years, Peter has grown his youtube channel to almost 6 million subscribers, while pulling back the curtain on his creative process and offering useful tips and tricks along the way. In his most recent video, Peter goes through his EDC as we head into fall. One of the most interesting items Peter talks about is his watch, a Marathon GSAR (Ref. WW194006SS-0130). Long time fans of the channel will likely have heard Peter mention watches before, but this is one of the first times that we’ve seen Peter dive into the specs and speak about how and why a certain watch made its way onto his wrist.  Check out the video above for his full reasoning!

The New Citizen Tsuyosa 60

When the Citizen Tsuyosa debuted in 2023, Zach Kazan was quick to state that “Citizen is making a play at the competitive “sporty, everyday casual” segment of the market with a colorful integrated bracelet option.” Now, almost two years later, the Tsuyosa line has rapidly grown to include numerous colorways, two case sizes, and several dial styles. This newest iteration, dubbed the Tsuyosa 60, returns to the larger 40mm case size, while incorporating a stamped guilloche-esque dial and a new movement. Assumed to be an iteration of the Citizen 8210, the new Citizen 8310 movement increases the power reserve to 60 hours, an increase of 18 hours while maintaining the same overall thickness of 11.7mm. For its initial release, the Tsuyosa 60 features three unique colorways: black and stainless, ash blue and rose gold, and a dark green combined with a two toned case and bracelet. Each of the new models are available now from Citizen on their webpage and at their NYC Flagship Store.

Reborn: The Honda Prelude

After a nearly 25 year hiatus, Honda has revived the iconic Prelude as automakers gear up for the 2026 model year.  Retaining its overall sporty look, the newest generation of the Prelude will feature a hybrid powertrain from the Civic hybrid line, while also sharing a chassis and braking system from the Type R. As part of the 6th generation design, the Prelude will feature flush door handles, a sleek hatchback design, and an estimated combined 50 mpg thanks to its 2.0L engine and two electric motors.  While Honda hasn’t released full specifications for this model yet, you can get a first-hand look at the car thanks to a recent Car and Driver article, here. 

The Shiracha: Seiko’s Newest addition to the Presage Line

Seiko has announced its newest addition to the Presage Classic line, a nod to the Bunsei Era, dubbed the “Shiracha”. Named for a subtle and sophisticated shade of brown popular among tea masters, this new addition to the will feature a light, smoky brown dial with a silk inspired texture, gold toned accents and come in the 40.2mm case. Fans of the Presage line will be happy to know that Seiko has replaced the typical 4R series movement for an upgraded 6R55, featuring 72 hours of pour reserve and an accuracy of -15/+25 SPD. Most notably, Seiko has partnered with Regal, a long established Japanese shoe manufacture, utilizing offcuts from their shoes to craft quality calf leather straps. The 3,000 piece limited edition watch is expected to be released in October, with a retail price of 1,050 USD. Full specifications, along with a link to retailers, can be found here.
