Wind-Up: New York City, the world’s first affordable watch fair, is just one week away and we wanted to give all of you a quick reminder to set your calendars as we’re sure you’re not going to want to miss it! The show starts Friday, the 23rd and runs through Sunday the 25th. It’s located at 101 Wooster st, between Prince and Spring in New York City’s famous SoHo district. Best of all, it’s free to attend, so bring your friends.
On top of showing and selling their watches and wares, many of the attending brands will also have special offers, new goods and other fun things to enjoy at their booths. Here’s just a taste (please note that all of the brands listed on windup.wornandwound.com are still attending):
10:25 Vintage
10:25 will have some Wind-Up exclusive pieces for sale such as the exceptionally cool Benrus Type II Class B.
Aevig
Aevig is coming in all the way from the Netherlands and will be showing their watches, and selling their awesome firehose straps (as in, made from reclaimed firehose) in 20 and 22mm, red and blue. They will be going for a discounted price of $20/strap down from their normal $45. Attendees will also receive a Wind-Up exclusive 15% coupon to use at Aevig’s e-store.
Dietrich
Dietrich will have their full line of strange and complex watches, including their newest models the OT-5 and OT-6. They will also be hosting a giveaway for one of their timepieces.
Stevral (Benarus and Raven)
Raven will be showing their new watch called the Defender. It’s a new and bold direction for the brand, with a rugged military aesthetic that only just went live on Kickstarter. Be among the first to see one in person.
Christopher Ward
This is Christopher Ward’s first time showing their watches in New York City and they will be bringing a selection of their best and most interesting pieces. The first 500 visitors to their stand will receive a $100 voucher to spend during the event, which is valid up until the 24th of December.
Crown & Buckle
The Crown & Buckle team will have a vast selection of awesome straps to spruce up your watch with. They will also be offering 10-20% off select straps and 20% discount cards.
Gavox
Gavox will be offering a 10% discount as well as complimentary caps with purchase. Additionally, they will have prototypes of upcoming watches to check out and their remarkable Aurora to play with.
Horage
This is Horage’s first time in the states, and on top of showing their interesting brand of watches, they will be offering their solid 18k gold Omnium watches at 40% discount as well as having live watchmaking demonstrations, taking apart and assembling their fully independent movement, the K1.
Martenero
Martenero will have their two new lines of watches, the Ascent and Marquis, on display and available to purchase.
MKII
MKII is sponsoring Wind-Up though will not be exhibiting. However, we will be holding a raffle at the worn&wound booth for one of their out of production Sea Fighter dive watches.
Mühle Glashütte
Thilo Mühle, the 5th generation ownder of the brand, will be attending Wind-Up to meet with customers, fans and discuss their great timepieces.
Oak & Oscar
Oak & Oscar will be in from Chicago with their new watch, the Burnham. The first 300 people to visit their booth and try on a watch will be entered to win one of their US made leather and felt watch wallets.
Sablier
Each of Sablier’s unique convex crystal watches will include a complimentary set of cufflinks or an additional Sablier strap.
Stowa
Stowa owner and CEO Jörg Schauer will be attending Wind-Up to discuss their excellent line up of watches. They will also be hosting raffles on Saturday and Sunday for their Antea Back-to-Bauhaus watches, giving away one each day.
worn&wound
Last but not least, we’ll have a large selection of our straps and accessories for sale, including our collaboration with AVI-8, and we’ll be unveiling a brand new series of single-pass leather straps.
