Christopher Ward continues its revamp rollout with the latest release to feature the brand’s aesthetic redesign—introducing the C8 Regulator Limited Edition. The newest entry to the C8 line is the brand’s answer to aviation-inspired watches, with an aesthetic loosely rooted in the design of Spitfire cockpit clocks. Now, this isn’t the first regulator from the British brand, nor is it the first one from the C8 range (check out our review of the older C8 Regulator). But it is the latest example of the overhaul we’ve seen from the brand over the last year, one that is decidedly modern feeling in its approach. The C8 Regulator Limited Edition measures 44mm wide and 11.4mm thick, and the sandblasted DLC case comes in at 91 grams. Turning to the dial, the Spitfire references are immediately apparent; note the two-tone coloration of the hands with red accents and radium-toned Super-LumiNova paired against a sporty, black base. Just like we saw with the C8 Power Reserve Chronometer released last year, the new C8 Regulator has a sandwich dial construction with cutouts along the main index and the hours sub-dial. Furthermore, the hands, which are a sort of semi-skeletonized syringe style, have a brushed gunmetal base with radium-toned tips.
