Nivada Grenchen CASD

Starting this week off with a classic chrono-diver, the amazingly named Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver. I mean, could the name be any better? As great as the name is, the watch is even better. The Chronomaster is a timeless masterpiece, with simple, functional design that looks as good as it is functional. There are many different iterations of the Chronomaster, with different dials, hands and movements, but I feel this one is the best. Clean black dial with two black subdials and the broad arrow hour hand. The steel case measure about 38mm (seller doesn’t state this, but I have the same watch), and looks unpolished, with nice sharp edges on the beveled lugs. This example is powered by the buttery smooth Valjoux caliber 23 manual wind movement, which is a joy to use. The elapsed time aluminum bezel insert is in excellent condition, and the watch even comes on a Nivada signed bracelet! Seller states the watch keeps time and works properly, but there is some patina on the dial, so keep that in mind.

Hema Chronograph

Another chronograph, but this one has a much bolder look to it. This circa 1960’s Hema (yeah, I’ve never heard of this brand either!) chronograph has a nice chunky 42mm cushion case in stainless steel that still shows the original brushed finish. The black rally style dial has contrasting red subdials at 3 and 9, with a pulsations outer dial. There is a date window at 6 o’clock which I always love as it contributes to the symmetry of the dial. No movement picture, and the seller doesn’t say what the movement is, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t a Valjoux 7733, but don’t hold me to it! In any case, the seller states it works great, and if you ask me, it looks great! Cool vintage chronograph that shouldn’t stress the wallet too much.

1960’s Timex

Time for a full kit vintage watch! This vintage 1960’s Timex may not have the name cache of other brands like Omega or Longines, but it does have the cache of vintage badassness! Nice simple steel case with thin lugs and a silver dial with alternating stylized Arabic numerals and thin baton markers and lume filled sword hands. Seller states the watch is new old stock, but it looks like it’s likely been worn. That said, it’s in great shape, and comes complete with box, tags and papers. This is a nice looking, classic looking vintage watch with all the extras….what’s not to like?

Bulova Accutron Deep Sea

Next up we have this fantastic vintage Accutron Deep Sea diver. There are a few Accutron diver models out there, but this one by far is the best, in my humble opinion. This is a big ol’ chunk of 1970’s funk, with a large (circa 40mm) steel cushion case in unpolished condition. The bullseye style two-tone gray and black dial is superb, and is one of Accutron’s best dials ever. The hour markers are large, lume filled batons that are bold and easy to read. There are dual crowns, both signed with the Accutron logo, similar to the famous Super Compressor divers. The upper crown rotates the inner elapsed time divers bezel. The bracelet is Accutron, but it is not the original bracelet for this watch. The caliber 218 Accutron  tuning fork movement works per seller, and keeps time.

NOS Vintage Bucherer

Here’s another vintage gem complete with box and papers. This one is a brilliant gold plated  Bucherer dress watch, with timeless style. The 34mm wide case is in superb condition and looks unpolished, The silver/champagne dial is simple and clean, with super thin arrow markers. But the best part is this watch comes with the original box, papers and even the original leather strap! No movement picture, but the seller states the watch currently runs. Not much else to say here, but look at the pics and you can see for yourself this vintage watch has it all!

Arnold Skin Diver

Last up we have a really nice vintage Arnold skin diver. Another brand none of us has heard of, but it does come in a classic 37mm wide stainless steel skin diver case. The case looks unpolished and in great shape. The metallic blue dial isn’t flawless, but looks fantastic and has stylin’ applied lume Arabic hour markers at 12, 6 and 9 with slim lume markers for the others. The countdown aluminum bezel looks great too. The hands have some patina, but nothing bad. The watch is powered by a manual wind 17 jewel movement that looks clean and seller states is runs, has been recently serviced and comes with a warranty. And to boot it comes on a vintage Tropic style rubber strap.
