ochs und junior settimana line Welcomes Colorful Season Dials

As we begin hunkering down for winter, ochs und junior is looking ahead to spring, with the first release of a new settimana capsule collection celebrating all four seasons. Spring is a fitting place to start, as the watch will be available for delivery by late February or early March, and it provides a bit of welcome inspiration to make it through the coming cold months. The spring settimana gives us a beautiful pink dial done in their minimal design language, extending even to the unique day display around the dial’s center. It’s bright, and a very specific vibe, but paired with the other 3 renditions, tells a different story altogether.

The settimana spring features a light pink dial with slightly darker accents found in the running seconds hand, and the dot used to mark the day around the hand stack. The hour and minute hands are white, and there are no markings or chapter rings for them to track against, creating a rather calming experience of the time (if not entirely precise). This feeds into the seasons concept all the further, and it’s the same story throughout the capsule.

The season capsule will be offered in grade 5 titanium cases in both 36mm and 40mm sizing, each housing a modified Sellita SW-200 to accommodate the day display. The dials are made of brass, and the dot indicating the day, as well as the hands get a coating of super luminova. The case design uses a very short lug design meaning the lug to lug distance is about the same as the diameter of the case in either size, meaning both will wear a bit smaller than you might typically associate with their respective numbers.

The seasons capsule will live within the settimana line collection, alongside some of other great releases we’ve seen this year, such as the raw and the bronze.

Each of the watches get a unique color scheme meant to recall spring (pink), summer (green), fall (light orange), and winter (blue). While the spring is being offered first, early next year the capsule will be available to purchase on March 31st of 2023, which almost feels like the appropriate approach with these, but it’ll set you back CHF 8,350 rather than the CHF 2,300 that a single example will cost.
