Revved Up: Cadola Launches the Motorsport-Inspired Overdrive Automatic

Last month, Cadola introduced the Overdrive Automatic, a rugged mechanical sports watch inspired by the brand’s motorsport-inspired design language—and perfectly suited for everyday wear.

The Overdrive Automatic is available in several colorways, including: Velocity Blue, Thrust Grey, Speedster Black, Ignite Black, Pulse Black, Jet Green, and Rev Black. While the overall design remains consistent across the collection, each colorway uses contrasting dial tones and accent colors to highlight the racing-inspired elements of the watch, making it easy to choose a specific variant that fits one’s own personal aesthetic.

All Overdrive Automatic models, no matter the colorway, feature a 41mm stainless steel case measuring 15.5mm thick and topped with a sapphire crystal treated with an anti-reflective coating. A unidirectional rotating bezel frames the dial, while luminous markers and hands help maintain visibility in lower light.

Inside, the watch runs on a Japanese Miyota automatic movement with a three-hand and date display. The movement can be seen through a customized exhibition caseback, offering a view of the movement – a reminder, says Cadola, that “real power is mechanical.” To top off the design, the Overdrive is fitted with a canvas-reinforced silicone strap, complementing the dial color chosen, and designed for additional flexibility and breathability.

The Overdrive Automatic is now available via Cadola’s website, with prices starting at $300.
