Sun Calls For City Slippers From Mohinders

The City Slippers from Mohinders are handmade by their partner cooperative in rural India, a standalone nonprofit that comprises 170 families of artisan entrepreneurs. Each slipper is meticulously handwoven from the best full-grain water buffalo leather available and equipped with a durable yet flexible natural crepe rubber sole. Their premium construction makes them highly durable and super comfy all day long, as these leather slippers mold to your foot with each step—whether you’re trekking to the farmers market or the mailbox.

Hand-made “cavani” weaving is a traditional Indian method of shoe construction. These shoes are all made in Athani Village, India by highly skilled and fairly compensated artisans. The leather is hand-oiled with a blend of plant-based oils, beeswax, and propolis, so natural variation in color tone is to be expected across the top of the shoe making each pair uniquely yours. The Slippers are available in two colors, Oiled Brown and Honey. The Woven City Slippers are on sale for $132, down from $165, on the Huckberry site today.
