Ten years ago, a small but determined idea took shape: to bring the world of watches to everyone—not behind glass cases or velvet ropes, but right into the hands of collectors, creators, and the simply curious. A decade later, the Windup Watch Fair has become a cornerstone of the enthusiast calendar, connecting brands and fans through passion, discovery, and good conversation. This October, we return to Center415 in New York City for what promises to be our most ambitious edition yet—a 10th anniversary celebration not only of watches, but of the people, ideas, and stories that drive them forward. And this year, those stories are being told by some of the biggest names in horology.

Industry Defining Conversations at Windup

The programming lineup at Windup NYC 2025 reads like a who’s who of modern watchmaking. Each panel promises an intimate look behind the curtain—from design and engineering to the broader cultural forces shaping our industry.

Things kick off Friday, October 17, with “Bremont: Behind the Rebrand”, a candid conversation between Bremont CEO Davide Cerrato (pictured above, left) and designer Sam Amis. Rebrands are no small feat—especially in a market as passionate as ours—and Cerrato’s firsthand account of redefining Bremont’s identity offers rare insight into both the creative and corporate sides of a modern watch brand rebirth.

On Saturday, October 18, we’ll raise a glass to a decade of Windup with our 10th Anniversary Panel, hosted by Blake Malin, Worn & Wound’s CEO and Co-Founder. Over ten of the original fair participants—including industry leaders from Oris, Christopher Ward, Oak & Oscar, Autodromo, Brew, Raven, and more—will take the stage to reflect on how the watch world has changed since 2015, and what’s next for independent watchmaking.

Wrapping up Saturday’s programming, a true icon takes the stage: Mr. Kikuo Ibe, the legendary Japanese engineer who created the G-SHOCK. His story, born from a broken family heirloom and fueled by a quest for “Absolute Toughness,” remains one of the most inspiring in modern horology. Mr. Ibe will share the personal history behind the creation of G-SHOCK, followed by a special postcard and product signing opportunity for attendees.

Then on Sunday, October 19, Shinola presents “More than a Movement: How Culture Shapes Shinola’s Design Process.” Featuring Dana Mosa-Basha (Director of Marketing, pictured above right), Molly Wang (Senior Designer), and Greg Verras (Director of Watch Design), this panel explores how culture, collaboration, and storytelling fuel the brand’s distinctive creative process—and how authenticity continues to define its identity.

Bulova joins forces with Photoville to present “On My Watch: NYC in Pictures,” a compelling exploration of photography, horology, and community. Featuring street photographer Brian Alcazar (1$T), Sam Barzilay (Photoville), and Jason Gong (Complecto), the conversation dives into the authenticity of New York street culture—ambition, artistry, and grit captured in real time. This exhibit will be on full display within the Editorial Lounge.

And finally, the talented team at HORAGE will present their MicroReg technology, which they believe will completely revolutionize the regulation of mechanical movements, featuring Andi Felsl, CEO and David Sharp, COO at HORAGE.

G-SHOCK will curate “The Origin of Toughness” exhibit, an experience inspired by Mr. Ibe’s presentation that explores the brand’s philosophy of resilience and innovation. Aether Apparel also makes its Windup debut with a design-forward installation showcasing their precision-driven approach to outerwear and everyday essentials.

We’re also making it easier than ever to get your new timepiece wrist-ready. Grand Central Watch and David Lane Design will both be onsite all weekend to handle bracelet resizing, strap swaps, and adjustments—so you can leave the fair with your new watch perfectly fitted and ready to wear.

And because no Windup is complete without a few surprises, keep your eyes peeled for special product announcements from our friends at Studio Underd0g throughout the weekend.
