The Defakto Detail, Now in PVD

In August, we reviewed the Detail, the first quartz offering from Defakto, a German brand with the reputation for making gorgeous, minimal wristwatches.  The Detail is the second one-handed watch produced by Defakto, following up on their Eins, which we also reviewed back in November 2011. Well, Defakto is back, this time with an update to the Detail line by way of a PVD model, offered with your choice of a white or black dial.

As Zach wrote in his review, the Detail is a “mix of precise design, restrained details, quality components and a modest price”, which holds true with the new PVD offerings.  Like the model we reviewed in August, the stainless steel PVD case of the Detail measures 40mm in diameter and 6mm tall.  It’s powered by a Swiss made quartz Ronda 715, has a solid screw down case back, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and is water resistant to 50M.  It is also accompanied by a calfskin band with signed buckle.  The PVD Detail is available from Defakto’s website for 335 Euros, or approximately $480.

Be sure to read our full review of the Detail and in the meantime, check out the gallery of the PVD model below.
