Coming Soon: Shop Sonic Youth’s Studio Used Gear

Described by some as “Legendary” and “Genre-defining”, New York’s very own Sonic Temple is gearing up to sell even more of their used gear. For the third time since 2018, and over a decade since their final show, the band is restocking their Reverb Shop, aiming to sell directly to fans and fellow musicians alike. Among the items the band plans to list are iconic pieces like Ranaldo’s first electric guitar: A Hagstrom II (pictured above), various pedals and studio equipment, and even a “guitar neck” stamp used when Ranaldo would write down chords. Dyneema: A Modern Marvel Finds new Uses

Originally developed as a strong, lightweight material with high tensile strength, Dyneema found success in many different industries like sailing, safety, and climbing. As it’s gained popularity, the material has found new uses in backpacks, clothing, watch straps, and now camera straps. Often made from climbing-quality cordage, the iconic “rope strap” is one of the most recognizable ways to carry a camera, so when Clever Supply Co wanted to recreate this iconic strap in their own way, they went with one of the strongest materials on the market. Crafted using ½-inch flat-woven Dyneema, the new Rope Strap is available in four lengths, two different colors, and is made to keep accessible while being securely held around your neck. You can check out the new Rope strap and the full collection of Clever Supply Co goods, here.
