Analog Shift Premieres “Stealing Time Itself “

Our good friends over at Analog Shift premiered their very first animated short film dubbed “Stealing Time Itself” this week. In the film we’re introduced to a group of protagonists, each with their very own special skill set, style and of course a watch that can do more than just tell the time. Together, they go on a mission that takes place across the globe (and space) to track down what is called the Time Orb. There’s a comic book feel to the whole thing and the drama slowly builds thanks to the synthwave tunes provided by The Midnight. Check out the new “Stealing Time Itself” film above and head on over to Analog:Shift for any vintage watch needs.

Epic Space Exploration Revealed In The New Starfield Gameplay Preview

Via Bethesda

During the Xbox Showcase earlier this week, we got our first glimpse of Bethesda’s long-awaited sci-fi role-playing adventure Starfield. From the looks of the gameplay preview above, there’s no limit to what you can explore in this intergalactic RPG. In fact, Game Director Todd Howard had mentioned during the reveal that the player would be able to land on any of the 1,000 planets spread across the 100 star systems, and explore them fully. The planet could be totally abandoned with nothing but a barren landscape, or it could be filled with all sorts of different life forms, some of which are going to be friendly and others not so much. The game promises to be a mix of casual space exploration and exhilarating shootouts (space dogfighting included). Starfield is set to arrive exclusively on the Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2023.

Jerry Seinfeld Is Making A Movie About The Pop-Tart

Via Variety

The Pop-Tart is a fixture in the world of breakfast treats and midday (or any time of day) snacks. But did you ever wonder what the story is behind the beloved toaster pastry? Well it looks like we’re going to find out in an upcoming Netflix film aptly named, “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.” The film already has a star-studded cast lined up with Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, Hugh Grant and James Mardsen to name several. And directing and writing behind the lens is none other than Jerry Seinfeld. “Unfrosted” is inspired from an old Seinfeld stand up bit that goes into the invention of the Pop-Tart, but the film will go much deeper into the story behind the race between cereal rivals Kellogg’s and Post. The Netflix film is set to start production sometime in 2022 and from the looks of the cast and plot thus far, it looks Crazy Good.

On My Radar: 1733 Zip Tote In Ranger Green

Via 1733

If you’re not familiar with 1733, they are a Chicago based brand that makes highly technical bags that seamlessly fit into your everyday life. In their recent drop, they released their Zip Tote which in my opinion, has all the makings of the perfect summer bag. The 1733 Zip Tote elevates your ordinary tote bag with its ECOPAK fabric construction and Cordura reinforcements. On the outside, the 1733 Zip Tote comes equipped with an external pocket, 4 D-Rings and 4 daisy chain rows providing numerous attachment points and increased carrying capacity. The 28L internal carrying capacity should be more than enough for all the gear I intend on hauling around this summer. The 1733 Zip Tote comes in three different colorways; Black, Red and the one I’m leaning towards, Ranger Green. Check out all the other gear 1733 has to offer and be sure to be locked in to their site every second Friday of the month for their regularly scheduled monthly drop. – Thomas Calara

Michael Fassbender Debuts At The 24 Hours Of Le Mans

Via Motor.Es

While catching up on the race results from the 24 Hours of Le Mans this past week, we were surprised to see two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender as one of the drivers participating in the 90th installment of the iconic race. You might recognize Fassbender from his leading roles in Steve Jobs, Assassin’s Creed or more familiarly as Magneto in the recent X-Men films, but as of last weekend he’s also an official driver for the Proton Competition team in the GTE-Am class (race designed for gentleman drivers aka amateurs where they can compete with drivers of similar skill level). Behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 RSR -19, Fassbender ended up finishing in 51st place out of the total 62 available positions. Turns out this has been a few years in the making for Fassbender that has culminated in a dream come true with his first ever race at Le Mans. Check out the full details of Michael Fassbender’s journey to Le Mans here.

eBay Finds: Seiko Automatic 6105-8110 150M Diver’s RARE Vintage Seiko Automatic 6105-8000 1

Via eBay User @buxt

Ok, so this one may not end up being “affordable vintage”, but you can’t expect one of the most iconic vintage divers to fit that category. The OG vintage Seiko 6105-8110 is a true, absolute classic icon, and deserves a spot in every vintage diver collection. These are getting so hard to find in original, unmolested condition. This example fits that bill. Doesn’t appear to have any aftermarket parts, and it looks to be in amazing condition. The case is unpolished and exhibits the correct brushes finish with sharp edges. The dial and hands don’t show any of the “black funk” that is so common in these. This is one that I really don’t need to write much about, as it’s something that speaks for itself. If I didn’t already have one, I would be keeping this auction to myself, but I do, and it’s too good not to share. If you’ve ever had an inkling to grab one of these iconic 6105’s, this is your chance, don’t let it pass you by.
