eBay Finds is back! This bi-monthly installment will feature a selection of watches currently listed on eBay that have caught the eye of editor Christoph McNeil (@vintagediver). If you come across any hidden gems on the ‘Bay drop us a note at [email protected] for potential inclusion

Vintage Longines

Here we have a beautiful vintage Longines Jamboree. This is a great casual sporty dress watch, well suited for a day on the town or with a suit at a nice dinner. The 35mm steel case looks unpolished with sharp edges, and perfectly preserved original etching on the caseback. Nice slim lugs too. The silver dial looks clean, with slim applied steel markers and nice steel sword hands. No date window to mess with the soothing symmetry. The crown is original and signed with the Longines logo as it should be. The Longines caliber 230 manual wind movement is clean and runs well per the seller. Fantastic watch from a well respected manufacture that you don’t see too often.

Vintage Zodiac Sea Wolf

Next up is a classic and highly sought-after vintage diver, a second generation Zodiac Sea Wolf. This version has the gray acrylic bezel insert, which is in excellent condition, with only one small crack near the 20 minute mark. The steel case (around 35mm if memory serves) is unpolished with nice edges. The original crown is signed with the Zodiac crosshair logo as it should be. The original black dial is superb, with nice lume filled triangle markers at 12, 6 and 9, and large lume filled triangle hands. The Zodiac caliber 70-72 automatic movement looks clean and runs well per the seller. As an added bonus, this gem comes with the correct and original JB Champion bracelet with the buckle signed with the Zodiac logo.

Vintage Zodiac Glorious

We have back-to-back Zodiacs this week, with this killer vintage Zodiac Glorious. This is another sporty casual dress type watch, with a steel case with slim bezel and lugs. The case looks unpolished, with sharp edges and original brushed and polished finish. Classic silver dial with applied steel stick markers and slim lume filled hands. Again, the crown is original and signed with the Zodiac logo as it should be. No movement pictures, but the watch runs well per the seller. There are pictures of a Zodiac box, but it is not included with the watch.

Vintage Seiko 5 Sports 6119-8450

Next this week is a cool 1970s chunky Seiko 5 Sports quasi-diver. This one features an oblong cushion shaped steel case that still exhibits the original brushed finish. The bezel is plain black, which is a neat look I think. The black dial has white lume markers and a blue bullseye type line that really adds to the sporty look. The watch comes with its original steel rally bracelet with a signed buckle. The Hardlex mineral crystal is scratched, but you can always source an OEM crystal or there are also high quality repros available. No movement picture, but the watch runs and keeps time per the seller.

Vintage Tissot PR516 GL

This vintage Tissot PR516 GL (sounds like a car name…) has a nice chunky case and sporty look. The 35mm steel case is unpolished with a really nice original vertical brushed finish and razor sharp edges. The silver dial is mint, with bold steel and black markers that are set on top of a thin outer minute track and they float above the dial. The hands are black paddle style with thin lume plots and a red second hand. The crown is original and signed with the Tissot logo. No movement picture but it runs well per the seller. It comes with a Tissot box, but I doubt this is the original box, it looks much newer in style to me.

Vintage Rado Brig

Last up is this super cool vintage 1980’s Rado Brig with brilliant green/black dial. The watch looks NOS, with a perfect 36mm steel case that has the original brushed and polished finish. The integrated bracelet is a fancy H-link, with alternating brushed and polished finish and a signed buckle. The green/black dial almost looks like malachite, but not sure if it is. It has big, applied steel markers and large steel hands as well. The crown is signed with the Rado logo as it should. This is a great looking piece, and a model I’ve not seen before. No movement pictures, but the seller states it has been recently serviced and is running great!
