Vintage Bulova LCD
Starting off this week with a neat space-age looking vintage 1977 Bulova quartz LCD. Yellow gold plated squarish case with a big crystal that covers a narrow LCD window. Around the window is a raised Bulova logo and a Quartz logo giving it a sweet 3D look. The watch comes with its original integrated bracelet with the buckle signed with the Bulova tuning fork logo. This was a 25 year service gift and is engraved as such on the back from the L.S. Starrett Co in 1977. The watch is in fantastic condition and works per the seller. Super cool retro LCD that is sure to garner attention.
Vintage Hamilton Thin-O-Matic
Next up is a really sleek vintage Hamilton Thin-O-Matic with box and papers. The 10k yellow gold filled case comes in at 34mm, and is in nice shape, unpolished with sharp edges. The silver dial is clean with applied gold Arabic hour markers. The original Hamilton signed crown is here as well. This is another 25 year service award watch, this time from the Lufkin Company in 1962. The watch comes with the original signed band and buckle, original box and original guarantee booklet. Great looking complete set that runs well per the seller.
Vintage Elgin
Here is a nice vintage Elgin sporty/dress watch with original black dial. The yellow gold filled case measures almost 34mm, and is in good shape with sharp edges. The black dial is really clean, and original black dials are really not all that common outside of divers. The matte black dial has applied gold stick markers and gold hands with a date window at 3 o’clock. The A. Schild automatic movement looks clean and runs well per the seller. Period correct yellow stretchy band clearly isn’t original. This watch would look great with a black croc strap.
Vintage Mido Multifort
This vintage Mido Multifort Luxe may be small, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in vintage style. The steel case measures 30mm wide, but is in good shape, with a stylin’ stepped bezel. The military style dial has some patina, but is original and looks great in my opinion. The crown is original and is a unique shape, one that is only seen on these Mido Multiforts. The Mido bumper automatic movement is clean and runs well per the seller. This watch has all the vintage vibe you could want!
Vintage Lord Elgin Coronado
We had an Elgin already this week, how about a Lord Elgin? Lord Elgin was Elgin’s attempt at a more upscale line, although to be honest I don’t really know if they were better watches, or just more stylish. In either case, this Lord Elgin Coronado is indeed stylish, with its 10k solid yellow gold case with bowtie lugs and quadrant dial that matches the angles of the lugs. The solid gold case measures 33mm wide and is in fantastic condition, and has a recessed crown at 3 o’clock. The two-tone silver dial has angled sections that mesh with the angles of the lugs, a brilliant design. There is a subseconds dial at 6 o’clock that has a little double sided hand that matches the dauphine hour and minute hands. Overall very stylish Mid-Century Mod watch that will be the star of your next cocktail party.
Vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox
I saved the best for last this week, with this insane vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox alarm watch. The 37mm wide stainless steel case is superb and looks unpolished with nice sharp edges. The classic Memovox silver dial is clean as a whistle, with bold applied steel markers and steel stick hands to match. The dual crowns are original and signed with the JL logo as they should be. The caliber K825 JLC movement is a work of art and nice and clean, and the seller states the watch runs, keeps time and the alarm works as it should. This gem even comes with the original JL signed steel buckle! These really don’t show up for auction in this condition very often, so if you’ve got a hankerin’ for a Memovox, check out this beauty!
