Introducing The YEMA Navygraf Marine Nationale

This week is turning into a rather eventful one for the French Navy. Within the watch world, at least. We caught wind earlier this week that Tudor has once again begun a formal relationship with Marine Nationale (something we’ll be keeping a very close eye on), and just today YEMA has revealed a collection of Navygraf Marine Nationale watches featuring their insignia on the dial. The navy blue Navygraf gets 4 variants with both quartz and automatic movement options, providing plenty of options for La Royale forces.

The French Navy, or Marine Nationale in French (La Royale informally), has a legendary history for the watches they’ve received from partners like Doxa, Longes, Omega, G-Shock, and most famously Tudor. Watchistry’s book on the subject, Marine Nationale, details a handful of the most iconic and is definitely worth a look if you’re interested in the history. Today, Yema enters that prestigious list with their Navygraf Marine Nationale.

The first of the 4 watches, and the most entry level of the bunch, is the Navygraf Marine Nationale Femme, a 34mm quartz option offered on a steel mesh bracelet with white mineral bezel. At just $350 this is the most accessible of the group. The white bezel,  golden seconds hand, and mesh bracelet set this one apart from the others quite nicely, and the pre-order also includes a white leather strap gratis.

Next is the Navygraf Marine Nationale Quartz, which also receives a 39mm steel case though gets the Rhonda 503.2 movement, and a slightly thicker case as a result. This one will come on a steel “H” link bracelet and is priced at $399.

Moving into the automatic options, the Navygraf Marine Nationale receives Yema’s own YEMA2000 automatic caliber. This watch gets a navy bezel and navy dial within a 39mm steel case on a steel bracelet. It’s a time only watch with the Marine Nationale marque label appearing prominently at the 6 o’clock position. The automatic is priced at $790.

Finally, the Navygraf Marine Nationale GMT gets Yema’s YEMA3000 GMT caliber and a 24 hour bezel. This model is limited to 1,000 examples and will be priced at $1,049 on bracelet. Again we see a 39mm case that measures slightly thicker than the automatic (12.5mm) at 12.85mm.

These Navygraf Marine Nationale watches are available to pre-order as of today directly from Yema with shipping slated to begin later this summer. Yema.
