QUICK RELEASE in Partnership with Bulova

The Bulova Racer Chronograph is a Winner by a Mile

Bulova’s motorsports heritage began in 1957 as NASCAR’s official timing partner. From 1972 to 1976, it sponsored the Motorsport Park Championship in Canada, where the winner received a Bulova clock, a watch, and a chance to race in England. Bulova later partnered with United Colors of Benetton, producing private-label watches. In the 1989 season, its logo adorned the front wings of Ford-powered cars driven by Alessandro Nannini and Johnny Herbert, with Nannini winning the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix. Since then, they have participated in British GT Racing, as well as Formula 3, and the story continues.

There has been no shortage of motorsport-inspired timepieces throughout the years, but there has never been a specific line dedicated to the sport. That is, until now. They are introducing the new Bulova Racer Chronograph collection. Experience watches that encapsulate the essence of speed, performance, and precision, celebrating the brand’s illustrious racing heritage. These watches are enjoyable for everyone, not just racing car drivers. They look outstanding on your wrist during daily commutes or on track days.

The Bulova Racer Chronograph is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 42mm, a thickness of 13mm, and a lug-tip-to-lug-tip measurement of 47.5mm. Although large, its short lugs make it suitable for wrists of all sizes. Encircling the dial is a black and orange racing tachymeter track, a scale used to measure speed based on time and distance. An anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal covers the dial, ensuring nothing obstructs the display. The dial features a 60-minute chronograph subdial at 9, marked by an orange hand that complements the large central chronograph seconds hand. There is also a 24-hour time subdial at 3 and a date aperture at 6.

There are two pushers on the right side of the watch. The top one starts and stops the chronograph and is orange, matching the chronograph timing hands and the seconds track on the outer perimeter of the dial. The bottom one resets the chronograph. Four polished screws hold down the engraved case back and keep the watch water-resistant to 100 meters. The movement, powered by a battery, is regulated by a quartz crystal, achieving an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.

The Bulova Racer Chronograph has two dial colors: light blue with matching subdials and black with matching subdials. The light blue dial has a three-link stainless steel bracelet with polished center links and a hidden butterfly deployant buckle. There are two black dial options. The first features a standard stainless steel case, a racing-style, perforated brown leather strap, and a tang buckle. The second features a black-coated stainless steel case with a perforated leather strap, but this one is black and comes with a matching tang buckle. Each version is available now, with prices ranging from $595 to $675, depending on your chosen option. For further information, please visit the Bulova website.
