Rowing Blazers x Target Debut Expansive (and Affordable) Collection

Via Rowing Blazers x Target

Rowing Blazers has been a common sight here on Worn & Wound for their uber-cool collaborations with watch brands such as Seiko, Zodiac and Tudor. It has been a way for Jack Carlson and company to incorporate the brand’s distinct style that blends the use of bold colors and patterns with design cues drawn from a wide spectrum of inspiration spanning between oxbridge-aesthetic and sportswear. The New York based brand and design studio has now turned their sights to Target as their next collaborative dance partner, offering up their largest collection yet at the wallet-friendly prices you’d find at the one-stop-shop big-box retailer.

The Rowing Blazers x Target collection spans over 100 pieces that includes apparel for adults, kids and even your four-legged family members, countless accessories, home decor and for outdoor play. Like any collaboration Rowing Blazers finds themselves involved with, the products come with their distinct touch sporting an amalgamation of vibrant colors and dizzying patterns. The Rowing Blazers x Target collection is slated to be released online and at Target retail stores on September 23rd. The entire collection will only be available for a limited time with most pieces priced under $30. Rowing Blazers x Target

Topo Designs’ Small But Mighty Session Pack

Via Topo Designs

The Topo Designs Session Pack is the happy medium between their Daypack Classic and their grab-and-go Quick Pack. At a glance, the Session’s footprint seems smaller than its Daypack Classic sibling, but the stout pack still offers up 20 L of volume and an array of storage compartments. The main compartment has the traditional open-space format perfect for packing a change of clothes or for putting together a modular set-up for camera gear, while the frontal secondary compartment is more catered to storing tech accessories or a selection of road-snacks. Both are secured by YKK zippers and are built so that the entire pack opens up for maximum internal visibility. The Session Pack is also equipped with a pair of side pockets for storing a couple of canteens and has a dedicated laptop storage compartment.

The Topo Designs Session Pack is one of the more subtler designs from the brand. Often their packs seem like they’d be more at home on the trail with their longish vertical frame then on the commute to the office. The more compact profile caters to those living the urban life but still has all the makings of what we adore about the brand, including a variety of signature Topo Designs colorways. The Session Pack retails for $89. Topo Designs

Creative Director Turned Watchmaker

Via Lifehacker

With only 25,000 watchmakers (and 10 million watches) in the world, and many of them approaching retirement, the occupation has the potential to become an endangered species. Matt Chapman, a former Creative Director for several prominent advertising agencies turned watchmaker, is looking to change that.

In a recent story published by Lifehacker, we get a first-hand account of Chapman’s transition into the world of watchmaking. Chapman talks about the advantages of having all the information at his fingertips and what it was like to bring a watch back to life for the very first time. The story explores the idea of how a hobby like “watches” and a genuine enthusiasm can turn into a full-fledged career and a life of doing what you love. Check out the full story, here.

When you think of the brand YETI, we’re sure the first thing that immediately comes to mind is an indestructible cooler that ages like fine wine. The brand is synonymous with outdoor adventure and keeping whatever you’re bringing with you cooler than when you first threw it in. The YETI LoadOut GoBox 30 Gear Case however, is a slightly different beast.
