WatchTime New York Returns This Month!

The good folks over at WatchTime are bringing their watch event back to New York City this October 22nd through the 24th. WatchTime New York 2021 will bring together twenty-eight brands and, for the first time, the event will be open Friday through Sunday (typically Just Friday and Saturday), allowing for expanded panel discussions with notable collectors, designers, brand executives, and other leading figures from the watch world. If you’re planning a trip into NYC that weekend for our Windup Watch Fair, you definitely don’t want to miss WatchTime as well.

“Our followers, collectors, and watch brands are desperately asking to get back to normal and meet in-person,” said WatchTime Editor-in-Chief Roger Ruegger. “Thankfully, this is not 2020, and we know how to carry on safely with the right guidelines in place to ensure the health and comfort of all WatchTime New York show attendees and participants so we can all get back to doing what we love: get together and talk about watches.”

A sign that the watch community truly is excited to get back to the events they know and love, the WatchTime New York Friday program is already sold out. However, there are still two days of programming to take part in on Saturday, October 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Programming on these days includes:

Saturday, Oct. 23 panel presentations:

  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – PANEL: “Is this 2019 all over again, or have things changed?”
  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM – PANEL: “What is a women’s watch in 2021?”

Sunday, Oct. 24 panel presentations:

  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: PANEL: “Why collectors love the independents, and why the industry needs them.
  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: PANEL: “Why is steel so hot, and is this going to continue?”
