worn&wound at BaselWorld 2014

It’s hard to believe (nearly) a full year has gone by since we last set foot in Basel. But, here we are again. The week of bombardment from brands showing off their new goods has officially begun as press day comes to a close. Though only a small partp of the fair is truly open until the 27th, we’ve already gotten to see a ton of new exciting stuff and heard rumors of more and more.

We have a lot of meetings planned with your favorite brands as well as brands whose watches we wanted to know more about. As with last year, we will be looking at ones that often get skipped by the other sites, brands with more affordable goods, “w&w favorites” (such as Seiko and Nomos) and anything that happens to catch our eye.

So, keep coming back to worn&wound for a fairly steady stream of Basel-based content over the next couple of weeks. For more, up-to-the-minute coverage, be sure to follow us on instagram, where we’ll be taking shots of what we’re seeing as we’re seeing it.

Here’s a quick gallery of what we saw strolling around the first hall today. Many not-so-affordable watches in there, but pretty darn cool ones to admire from a far.
